ivan Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Specifically cliff jumping at Whatcom Falls in bellingham. jesus, given my tyranical derangement at the time, that was by far the closest i came to killing meself this summer!!! the view of the drug-deal going well in the middle of the forest on the way in and the tubby cannon-balling chicanas cliffside were priceless too... David Trippett Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Caught that bastard mouse that chewed a hole in my Genie and drop-kicked him off the face. Quote
archenemy Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I started sport climbing (just a little bit after work while the weather was still good). Decided to lead a bolted climb that has a tough little crux in a not-so-good spot. Fell on lead. Immediately tried again. Fell again. Tried again. Fell. Tried. felltriedfelltried. And finally, lost my fear of falling while leading a funky little sport climb. Quote
MCash Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Discovered some new places to climb like the Picket Range, Index, and Darrington. Quote

Shit we still have 2 months left.  So far it was Mount Kenya, but a month of cruising around France wasn't half bad. Quote

wfinley Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I'm undecided as to whether it was catching my first king or getting engaged. Quote
skykilo Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 I'm pretty friggin' stoked that some guy did this. Quote
ivan Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 beta-decay, dear sky? is this the phenonoma i've experienced where the useless crap people screech at me while thruching upward gradually fades into the background noise of wind/trains/heavy breathing and blood-curdling yelps? Quote
goatboy Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Went to the Bugaboos (finally) and the Pickets in the same week. Â Pickets included an awesome (and humbling) climb of Inspiration Peak, 21 hours tent to tent, christ... Quote
billcoe Posted November 1, 2005 Posted November 1, 2005 Favorite Thing you did this year ? I think you all know what my answer is.  I will not draw any more attention to it.   The pink tape V2?  Nah, didn't send it yet, saving that for next year.  2 weeks in Yosemite. I'm easy that way.  Fantasic group of folks, great weather, best rock in the universe. I was healthy, feeling the magic and my climbing starting to come back together. Quote
ogre Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Just about getting my ass blown off the summit of Rainier. That was kinda cool. Quote
ogre Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 P.S. seeing my wife "suck it up" and slog up to summit Adams was somewhat emotional for me. I was so damned proud of her! Quote
selkirk Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Wasn't particularly challenging but I had a fantastic jaunt up Sahalee in Sept. Blue Bird skies and a nice mellow pace! Was just lots of fun. Â on rock it would have to be Zebra Zion this spring, that top pitch f-in and Kunza this fall, never been quite so committed to small gear, and bumped me up anothe grade All in all a very good year seeing as i've been a lazy ass and haven't really been training like I should. Kitergal Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 This year....hmm....Jan-March...whistler every weekend..boarding and partying with the foreign men...April-June- Kayaking down the rivers, the green was my fav trip, July-September- ohh..so many hikes, climbs, and kiteboarding trips...probably the weekends in the hood were the best...and now...ohh...the fact that Crystal is opening on FRIDAY means I won't have to drive all winter long up to CANADA!! YEAH!!! Quote
JosephH Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Learning more about Beacon this year than I had in all the previous eighteen. Quote
