cluck Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Just got this little bundle of fur but can't decide on a name for her: I want to go with something like a mountain, route, or glacier from the PNW. So far my favorites are Sahale, Tahoma, and Luna. Any other ideas? Quote
chirp Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 I want to go with something like a mountain, route, or glacier from the PNW. So far my favorites are Sahale, Tahoma, and Luna. Any other ideas? Your choices are neat but I find more obscure, yet withing the realm to be also effective. Avoid such time honored drudgery as "lupine", "darkstar", or "neo" Jumar (my dog), Moog, or Yofi ( hebrew for "beautiful") Quote
foraker Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 i knew this girl once who named her cat 'little baby colostomy bag'. i don't know about the cat, but the girl was a bit off. that's what she got for having a weird last name: Schmertz (anglicization of the german world for 'pain') Quote
cluck Posted December 12, 2004 Author Posted December 12, 2004 ... Yeah - obscure is good. Sort of like an inside joke. I want to avoid the overused stuff like "Shasta" and "Denali." "Come here, Sandy Glacier Headwall. Good girl!" Quote
cj001f Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 If it's got a megalomaniac temper I suggest "Reilly". Steens? Quote

Lionel_Hutz Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 No suggestions on the name, but congrats on the beautiful new puppy . . . good times! Quote
Off_White Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 Well, it's not climbing related, but I've always been partial to "Lugnut" though I have yet to use it. Quote
ChrisT Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 I was at the Vet yesterday with the cat ("Rock Star" - the kids named her) and there must've been 5 pooches named "Buddy" in the lobby. Please do not name your dog "Buddy". thanks. Quote
rat Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 "Look lets say I'm bored. I decide that I'm going to have a fun time by going over to my neighbor's house and kick his dog for a while. As long as I don't get to agro the dog will be just fine...so there shouldn't be a problem." i think you should name it "feck" ala dennis hopper's ironic name in "river's edge" and cc.com's own facsimile. it will likely be about as dumb as feck but better looking. fffeccckkkk. open the door, goooodddaaaaamit. Kevin_Matlock Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 salathe. gaper. monkey face? vomit launch? "Here Vomit Launch... fetch my slippers Vomit Launch... bad Vomit Launch...." . I think you've found a winner! Packer? Packy? (Something to do with packs) Trekker? Igloo? Freshize? Glacier? Boots? Parka? Shit Head (ala "The Jerk")? Nah... I still like Vomit Launch. Quote
