There's a fine line between "expectation" and "preference", usually defined by the manner in which the "preference" is expressed. Either way, the moral is that no matter what you look like, not everyone will find you attractive, and conversely, not everyone will fit into your preference. Get over it, both of you. Like someone said up above, there's something for everyone.
