I actually have to wear one of those suits when I'm working, not to protect myself from what I work on, but from the protestors.

It kills it's host too quickly. Don't plan on it being here any time soon.

Dru did you get your horsecock colored SPRAYSTRONG braclet in the mail yet?

Absolutely not. Doping was invented by the Russians, who pretty much developed the best ways to train and cheat. The whole thing is pretty sad really. These guys make millions a year, they cheat, they get caught cheating and nothing happens to them. In a way I don't blame them though, we live in a world where everyone has to be chemically or cosmetically enhanced in order to perform better or feel better about themselves. Barry Bonds is a jackass though, fuck that guy.

Rubbing alcohol is isopropanol and very volatile, it will evaporate before enough of it is absorbed into the skin.

More bolts ==> less erosion = bullshit. Try this instead: More bolts ==> more traffic ==> more erosion + more assholes + whatever b.s. the assholes wish to "contribute" to the cliff. Hey Pope I got a story for you. I was at this coffee shop on Sunday with a couple of friends, and I very politely asked (imagine me being polite) these two people sitting at a rather large table if they minded if we shared the table, to which this bitch replied "As long as you're not obnoxious." Point is you don't have to clip bolts to be an asshole.

From time to time I'll post priceless emails we receive. Some will be funny spam, some will be from stupid users, some might be from Dru's mama, some might be from a speed climbing dog.... you just never know! Here is this weeks winner. ----------------------------------------------------- Hi, there! Browsing discussion threads on the net, I noticed that one of your members (screenname DRU) recently included a picture of giant otters climbing tree-branches. I have long wondered if otters can climb trees (though it's actually Northern river otters I was wondering about), and was curious if he could tell me how adept they are at it: are they skilled enough to climb and cling to vertical trunks using their claws (in the manner of a raccoon), or can they only moderately scale leaning trunks with accommodating branches and such? And any idea how good otters are at leaping? Thanks a lot! Good to talk to another otter fan! Christopher

I'd like to welcome on Feathered Friends as a new supporter of cc.com. I'd also like to thank Mike Palmer and Cascade Crags for the almost two years of support they have offered. They are scaling back their business a bit so they will unfortunately no longer be with us. They have some great deals on clearance gear so be sure to check it out and be sure to thank them for supporting cc.com. http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/threadz/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/428802

I felt it might be necessary to explain to everyone the current state of the website, we know there is a lot of stuff not working right now and we are attempting to resolve all of these issues. Unfortunately the timing was kind of bad for us, and since this isn't our job, finding the time to fix everything has been difficult and we apologize for this. I also apologize to everyone who I haven't either returned PMs or email to, the immense amount of support mail we receive makes it difficult to get back to everyone. The current problems we have right now boil down to two things. First is my botched upgrade with the photo gallery that resulted in some lost files. As many of you are aware there are pictures missing from most of the old trip reports. Thankfully the original files aren't gone, just the sized down version used in the trip report, so we will be able to restore those it's just a matter of figuring out the easiest way to do it, but they will be back and I apologize to those people who took so much time making those trip reports. The second problem arose when we upgraded the message board, which resulted in two things. A lot of the neat features that cc.com has, like the trip report index, being able to add in pictures from the gallery, the integration with the front page, and the latest 25 posts/TRS, the Paypal subscription feature, all were written by Tim. Unfortunately he didn't discover until after the upgrade that the company that makes the message board made a number of modifications that will essentially require him to relearn how the message board works and write his hacks from scratch. To compound on that, the upgrade itself turned out to have tons of bugs which I'm sure you are all aware of. Basically we have been kind of in a holding pattern to receive the update to the message board from Infopop, the company that makes UBB, before we embark on fixing all of this crap, because they very well could change their code again. I've had a lot of people ask about the PayPal thing. We'll definitely get that thing back up, we might try and find a short term solution, so just sit tight. We definitely appreciate everyones support. As you all can imagine this whole website has been quite a learning experience, and in this case we definitely learned some lessons, well at least I did. While I'm sure none of this has seriously inconvenienced any of your lives, there are a lot of people who spend a lot of time here and find a lot of value in what we have here, and rest assured we will eventually get all this stuff fixed.

Probably need a card reader, they are really cheap, even the PCMCIA laptop ones.

She's on the cover of Bicycling, it's their "sex issue". They show the heart rate profile for a world class cyclist during sex.
-
Holy shit I think your right?
-
Thanks for that detailed response. I plan to go trade my running shoes for a bike right now. Whatever punkass Sorry I didn't feel like writing a thesis length response. There is really a lot too it and to be honest to make it convincing you really have to go into the molecular and cellular details to hit the message home. But, it all has to do with heart rate. If you are a seasoned runner then it's a great form of training. But for someone who isn't a seasoned runner, they would be better off on the bike, at least for a couple months.

Bob, I'm stating the facts not argueing with you. If it were my choice everyone would have insurance, we would take care of our homeless, we'd be better at protecting women and children from abuse, etc etc etc. Graupel you can post any link you please. Just because it is on the internet doesn't mean it is the truth. BTW I work in a hospital. My dad builds hospitals. I have friends who are doctors and nurses. They tell me the contrary. Yeah I think the US would be a lot better without people like Edwards, doesn't he hold the record for the largest settlement or something. The UW had a recent settlement of $40 million because a test got screwed up and they thought she had cervical cancer so they removed it. Pathology showed later she was fine. Not to sound insensitive, she should just be glad to be alive. I'm not saying she doesn't deserve a settlement, but $40 million is out of control. Becuase of that the school of medicine had to scrap plans for badly needed new research facilities. And you are telling me this is right? Get real.
