RuMR Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 I have a tree about 6 feet back from my property line...it sheds leaves on the neighbor's lawn...does he have the right to blow them back onto my yard? WTF? the other neighbors laugh at the guy cuz he does it to the flanking neighbors as well... personally, i take care of the leaves from other neighbors when they are on my yard... what is the law on this? I live in king county...anyone know? Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Start composting them and forget about it. Jeez. Quote
RuMR Posted November 30, 2009 Author Posted November 30, 2009 ok...that's fine, except he also cut down a huge branch and then hucked into my backyard...didn't even discuss it with me...just walked over and did it... Quote
G-spotter Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Take a dump on his front porch. Wipe & decorate with leaves. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Write 'FU' on his lawn in hi nitrogen fertilizer. Quote
Fairweather Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Here's how one of my bros handled a similar situation: Buy an old cheap used lawn mower for $25. Kick the rusty muffler off of it with your boot. Fill mower with gas. Roll it to the property line. Pull cord. Walk away. When gas runs out; repeat. Quote
pink Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 put your arms above ur head and wave them around to make urself big... Quote
olyclimber Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 get larger, more powerful leaf blower than he has and when he is doing the deed start blowing them back at him. you guys can have a "blow off". Quote
Lars Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 yeah, they can blow each other. only in seattle... Quote
AlpineK Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 get larger, more powerful leaf blower than he has and when he is doing the deed start blowing them back at him. you guys can have a "blow off". Yep it's clearly a battle of who has the biggest blower. Stihl or Husqvarna make the biggest and best. Good idea. And Rumr...if I climbed up on a ladder that you were holding...you would be "blow me"! Quote

Hugh Conway Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 In King County? Think you are on the right track already snidely bitch about it behind his back and get all whiny/passive agressive Quote
LostCamKenny Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 my sister and brother in law have the same problem with their neighbor, rumr... they just rake up what is on their lawn and are done with it. the neighbor has, in the past, put all the leaves that landed in his yard in a huge pile behind my sister's car, thus making it hard for her to get out of her driveway. Now I think they just stay on top of the raking so that it doesn't become a problem. it seems silly that there would be a law about this, though. Still, i like fairweather's idea best! Quote
Hugh Conway Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 fuck off... come come, we both know you'd never tell your neighbor that! Quote
Kimmo Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 put your arms above ur head and wave them around to make urself big... now that's fuckin funny (and it has nothing to do with your height, rudy). Quote
Kimmo Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 rudy, that's nothing. friend comes home to find fence taken down, and tree company up in a tree in his back yard hacking away. tells 'em to come down, they laugh at him. calls cops, they show up and say there's nothing they can do. civil matter. they took down 5 trees. i might have grabbed a shot gun. if i owned one. which is what i suggest you do. Hugh Conway Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 i might have grabbed a shot gun. if i owned one. which is what i suggest you do. sit around the house holding & polishign his pretend guns? then he'd really be just like Fairweather and TTK Quote
AlpineK Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Trees and property lines do generate lots of disputes. Leaf raking is pretty minor. The tree might be owned by both parties. No matter what the best solution is to try and talk it out with your neighbor. Perhaps you can tell your neighbor that raking leaves is good exercise and you guys should do it as a team project. Then again you could give a neighborhood kid five bucks to shit in a bag, leave it on your neighbor's door, light it on fire, then ring the bell. Quote
ivan Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 have you actually talked w/ homeboy? what did he say? Quote
Choada_Boy Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Use diesel fuel to 1) draw a giant pentagram and 2) Write "Slayer Rules" on his asphalt driveway. Next, light the fuel and enjoy the spectacle, which will have lasting effect, in that the diesel will dissolve the oil out of the asphalt, leaving a permanent pentagram and "Slayer Rules" statement on his driveway for all good Christians to admire. tvashtarkatena Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 It's funny how people will mow the shit out of their lawns, yet when it comes time to mulch their leaves, they whine like little bitches. Rake the leaves in a pile. Run em over with the lawnmower a couple of times. Respread em or compost em. End of fucking story and STFU. Quote
