minx Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 answer either or both. i'm bored at work today. what are you doing next week? any cool, interesting or torturous end of december vacations? how many days until the christians climbing denali thread dies? Quote
dan_forester Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 (1) I hope I'm getting over my cold & going skiing. (2) it already died after about page 2; what you're seeing now is the zombie-baby-jesus manifestation of the christians climbing denali thread. Quote
rmncwrtr Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 1) We will be skiing after Christmas. Gotta make use of those season passes. 2) At the rate it keeps resurrecting itself, not for a very long time. Quote
G-spotter Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 1) ice climbin' 2) 1 post before it passes either The Nodder or the Hood Death thread for total # of posts Quote
AlpineK Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Skiing hopefully. I'm trying to figure some backcountry stuff to do, but I worry a bit about the avy conditions or alternately the hoards of Christmas break folks who will be clogging the ski areas. Quote
Hugh Conway Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 yeah, I was just talking with someone about the BC conditions here at work - we figure another fatal slide is on the way surfing in CA. slaving at McJob. Skiing in BC Quote
Clavote Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 1. Vegas baby with my pregged out wife. 2. Christians climb? (so you're 500 feet from the summit. The weather is going south and wind and snow are expected in the next few hours. What would Jesus do?) Quote
selkirk Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Next week is time in the Friday Harbor visiting with family and playing with wonder dog. Should be a rough time, too much food, too much booze. Planning on consuming more tan my fair share of spiced wine and Raymous Gin Fizzes Not sure about Thurs/Fri though, suddenly have 2 more days off than I anticipated so I might have to try and go climbing or skiing. As for when the Denali Partners thread will die? Seeing as I'm not reading it isn't it already dead? Quote
wfinley Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Packrafting in Virginia. It's been Zero all week here... I'm ready for 40 degrees and rain. The Denali thread will die when Seahawks IT dept puts an internal filter on CC.com. Quote
kevbone Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I will be following Minx around on CC.com……Hello Minx….. Quote
minx Posted December 21, 2007 Author Posted December 21, 2007 ahh isn't that sweet. another cc.com internet stalker. i'll be busy next week. you should plan accordingly Quote
hafilax Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 (edited) We're going to Denver to visit my sister, niece and brother-in-law. I think we're doing a couple of days at Keystone. Any suggestions about other ski hills to visit are welcome. All I want for Christmas is for the ID argument to go away. Edited December 21, 2007 by hafilax Quote
Hugh Conway Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 i'll be busy next week. you should plan accordingly minx - do you mind if I borrow your login? I can lay a trap and ambush kevbone, then serve him to the homeless for Christmas dinner (no brain matter, so no worries of KJ stuff) Quote

joblo7 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 1)going to climb some peak around huaraz 2) christians are the biggest poseurs in spiritual terms... Quote
minx Posted December 21, 2007 Author Posted December 21, 2007 well have a lovely time climbing some peak. sounds much nicer than debating the accuracy of the bible. Quote
G-spotter Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Some Peak is a dangerous undertaking. It's killed many climbers. Quote
willstrickland Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 1. Climbing quartz monzonite on the sunny aspects, with a possible exception for Wangerbanger/O'Kelly's because they're just that good. 2. Who cares? Quote
Sherri Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Mebbe going to Red Rocks for New Years. Quote
olyclimber Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I'll be having a three-way with your old roommate and old boyfriend, showing them how to do it. Quote
billcoe Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 well I want to go with Sherri! but: downhill with the lad one day. Hanging with family other times. Maybe heading up a remote closed road by myself with X-country skis and hope I don't turn into Cougar food another. Quote
sirwoofalot Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 (1) I have never taken an avy class so I am stying home with the family so I don't become a head line (2) It should have ended a few pages ago. I am kind of reminded of my Univercity daze. There always seemed to be two yokels in the conner arguing who was better the stones or the beatels, or something else that EVERYONE lost interest in a long time ago. Quote
Dechristo Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 ...so I am stying home... yeah, I need to clean my house, too. Quote
ivan Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 the denali dipshit thread will die when feck capricously decides to kill it in a vain attempt to preserve the sanctity and virtue of the gilded age of da nodder and muir on sunday, which have aged as well as a piece of brie... hoping the weather will clear after xmas so i can get a rare winter extended alpine trip in 'fore returning to the factory. really wanted to do jo'burg but thinking i don't want to waste all that time hiking in and out from the washout to get to a route's who striking feature is a 10 minute approach in summer... Big Mon, don't even think about it with our avi danger right now. Your singing is annoying, but not that annoying. Let's go into the Pasayten, beyotch. Gotta go East of the Crest to more mellow terrain if you don't want to make King 5 News. Quote
