I would do that, but my life is pretty fucking good right now. I understand if you're not having a good morning; that's okay. I hope your day gets better. I'm riding the high right now, 'cause I know that first call from my project manager will send my day into the crapper.

Do the couliour on McClellan Butte. It's the next exit past 38 on I90 or take the dirt road off 38 up to where it crosses the trail but then you are cutting off a good 800' of vertical fun.

Or do a ridge run from exit 38 up past the overhang past the bridge and into bushwhack central. It gets interesting in places and you can bail into death zones at any point. A rap line and harness is handy. Lots of trees so don't worry about webbing.

I have to second that Mailbox Peak suggestion. It's sustained steep and conveniently located. A bit hard on my cranky old knees on the downhill.

I 2nd McClellan Butte. You also may want to check out Granite Mountain as well. It's in the N.Bend vicinity and it is a great ass kicker. Just watch out for the AV gulches near the top.

Pilchuck and Granite are good options. Haven't done mailbox or McClelland, but hear good things...

 

For a nice lazy hike with a good picnic spot at the end try Lake Annette.
