The right side of the road where the, "cliff," starts is very straight. The crew must have polished and smoothed that side of the road.
I'm not sure why they skipped the left side and did a little more trundling.
Too bad Christine didn't win

She would have really fucked things up for the Republicans in 2012. At least Sarah is still in charge
I ended up on the Swauk Glacier a couple weeks ago. Cool snow, but a long walk.

Skiing from the car does have an appeal now
In the 90s I lived in Boulder Colorado. There was a self cleaning toilet downtown for awhile.
Boulder likes to think it's green and groovy, but the toilet kept suffering from abuse. Eventually the town got rid of it.
A whole six pack all in one can plus a energy boost. What could be better.

but it is Freshiez!
We climbed the Diamond by rapping down from Chasm View then traversing Broadway. It's a little committing, but preferable to the bottom up approach.
I know it's after you're ascent, but something to think about if you go there again.
Nice topo
For a couple months I lived on The Hill near CU campus. Walking from the front door of the house I lived in and climbing the Flatirons was easy.
Weekends were a bad time to climb them, at least on the standard 'solo' routes.
The free hanging rap to a knife edge ridge on the Maiden was pretty cool. It was a little less visited too.
