  1. Thanks for the heads up on the new phone number. It was frustrating not knowing what happened, especially since no one answered the phone and no response to the email I sent. I actually just got the shoes back today. Thanks! Mitch
  2. Does anyone know anything about who owned cascade cobblers? I sent two pairs of shoes in there a few weeks ago. I had my parents stop by there and see if they were done yet and the guy said they would be in a couple days. Then today I went by there and they are closed and the place is for rent. I never got the shoes back, nor did I get charged, thankfully. But I would like to know know how to get a hold of the people so I can get the shoes back. Anyone have any leads? Or experienced similar? Mitch
  3. So in other words you and your buddies are looking for a guide that will work for free? How about either not climbing the mountain until you got the skills or actually paying for a guide to drag your sorry ass up there? KirkW, Not everyone has glaciated peaks out their back door. I could totally see where these folks are coming from. They could be totally capable and have climbed lots of peaks potentially but maybe not much glacier experience, they are not that common in the lower 48 these days. Doesn't seem very welcoming to be a complete ass to someone who is posting on here for the first time, lay off, they didn't need your two cents. Guides are expensive. Playing in the mountains is amazing and not everyone has $1000-$1500 to throw down to have an experience in the mountains. Who knows maybe there is someone out there whose would love to go with these guys. That's my two cents KirkW. Mitch
  4. oh. thanks for the link. I thought it was more recent and didn't dig too deep for a previous post.
  5. So I was climbing at Vantage last weekend and discovered that they had removed the porta potties that used to be in the parking lot. Does anyone know anything about why the toilets are gone? I know that the area is managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. There are a lot of people who don't pay for to permit to use the area so I can understand that they don't have the funds to pay for a porta potty. It seems to me that not having a toilet in such a high use area is a huge issue that should be solved quickly. Any thoughts? Mitch
  6. This is a mad rock triple mad pad I'm selling for $75. It is in pretty good shape. It is missing the backpack straps. Here is a link to the madrock website: http://store.madrockclimbing.com/triplemadpad.aspx I am in Bellingham. Give me an offer! Mitch
  7. These are still for sale. Make me an offer! Mitch
  8. oops, didn't mean to put up three of the same image. Here they are though Mitch
  9. I have 8 Petzl Spirit Express Quick Draws for sale. They are two years old but have only been used a couple times. They are the short ones, I think 11cm. Selling the set for $100. email me at mitchell.harter@gmail.com
  10. On the way back to car I may have misplaced my sleeping bag. It is a Mountain Hardwear synthetic bag. It was a rental bag from the Outdoor Center at Western Washington University. It would most likely be found along the trail down towards the parking lot. If found please contact me at mtnmitch@hotmail.com or 816-797-0293 Thanks, Mitchell
  11. I lost my volkl gotama 07/08 on mt st helens this weekend. If you find it i would love to reward you someway. I was going pretty fast and my binding completely ripped off of my ski, and the ski then didnt have any breaks and went for one hell of a ride. We looked around a little bit for it, but had other obligations to get down. I really want to go back and look around but I dont know if i have time because i live in bellingham. The accident happened almost at the top of the mountain and went hurling skiers right... or southwest down the mountain. It took one of the gullies just more on lookers left side of the mountain. i need the ski for warranty issues, the binding is still intact, it completely ripped out of its four screws in the front. the binding was still attached to me boot after i took a good fall. give me a call at 720 771 7094 or you can email me at petertommorgan@yahoo.com thank you peter
  12. Nice Lisa! Oh how I miss the Cascades. I'm coming back soon for some shwack action.
  13. I have a pair of La Sportiva Nepals I am trying to sell. They are size 13, the footbed is a little narrow so if you have narrow feet they might work. I am in Bellingham, if would like to try them on let me know. I am selling them for $140, that is flexible though.
  14. It would probably be to big I am a 6'3" medium build guy and it's a little big on me, not too huge it just looks a little sloppy. I also think it is going to be sold tomorrow anyways. Thanks for the interest.
