  1. Maybe we need a global crack down on Dru.
  2. Someday when you're rich and old with a dependable car you'll like Levenworth. Index does rule, but Trundle dome's cool too.
  3. Laton Kor and Derik Hersey for sure. I also notice they're giving the, "Planetary Defense," salute. classic Eldo
  4. I've seen this movie, and I thought it was wierd but worth seeing. Of course I also liked Rock and Roll Highschool; that is I liked the actress who played the principal and the rockometer.

    Steroids

I think Fairweather is getting all misty eyed dusting off his old trophys and letter jacket and listening to Bruce....Glory Days.
  6. Yeah fuck the environment...we can reduce our dependence on forigen oil by 1% at best. 20 years from now.
  7. I've gotta work, but even with this recent rain and cool down Index is going to be way better than it usually is at this time of year. It's still super dry; there are no seeps anywhere at Index, and it's going to take a lot more than 1 storm to recarge the ground water. Go climb if you can!
  8. Not that they aren't without challenge, but anything on a volcano doesn't really fit my idea of a classic alpine face. NE face of Triumph is a good one, so is Furry, Bear, and Barring. The North Norwegian Buttress is pretty awsome too.
  9. press me
  10. Wrong. The first year it was both on City Park and over the drill hole.
  11. CrazyJZ can fill in the details, but I believe that Rat said as some evil anti pig climber removed the pig from City Park, "We don't fuck with your rap placed bolts why are you fucking with our lead placed pig."
  12. It won't be a real history unless you mention greasing and pig rigging.
  13. I got me a loaner. Thanks for the offer Timmy.
  14. You just can't wait to have the Icicle shut down to climbing.
  15. OK, so I've been trying to be a good boy and not start something, but I'm currious about this factor 1.8 fall you took. Now most folks say, "dude I took this wipper," but apparently Paul is out climbing with measuring tape so he can talk about the exact fall factor.
  16. If you live in the Seattle area and have a Smith Rocks guide I'd like to partner up with your guide book for on Wednesday thru the weekend. Actually you can come climbing too, but I'm going to an event ( ) near Corvallis on Saturday which might involve getting high and climbing, but it definitely wont involve climbing rock. Basically I'm too cheap to buy a guide book when I know there's a new one in the somewhat near future.
  17. I'm with you lets develope a strike force to make countries establish wilderness areas. It's our duty. Either that or we could raise the fleet mpgs of vehicles in which case we could free up more oil than is in ANWR and thus save the Saudi desert. Sorry, I'm sure it's better to subsidise big companies to drill in wilderness areas...clearly that's the best use of taxpayers dollars.
  18. So what you're saying is that we should drill in ANWR and send a division or two of soldiers to Saudi Arabia to take their desert land as a wilderness area.
  19. I bet you'll be near the summit.
  20. Everything you and Don have done has just been leading up to this.
  21. I think they simplified them when GW came into office. 123-456-789. That's all you need for world domination.
  22. Dude you expect me to read some masive paragraph...get real So how do you like working at Nordstroms anyway???
  23. Hey Mr Knee Jerk(Fairweather) I think a lot of people understand what gets lost with wilderness designation. If you'd bothered to read some of the posts above you'd see that. I agree that the designation cuts out many things that should be allowed. I agree that roads and trails should be maintained. I think you should be able to use power tools to do so as well. I also know that climbing may be restricted by wilderness designation. I still support the wilderness because the alternative is much worse. Both the USFS and the BLM have a history of leasing out our land at ridiculously low rates. Not only does land under the agencies jurisdiction get trashed they also get an extremely low return on the use.
