I like to use this site to figure out what the general weather trends are going to be. It predicted last winter's crappy snow conditions when folks were crowing about the good winter predicted by those climatologists down in Oregon. You can see if the temperature and precipitation levels are going to be above or below normal. You can look ahead to the summer. I hear El Nino is just about done.

I don't think you've been reading carefully Fairweather. Jim's quote says that we need a broad based environmental movement especially including evangelical types. The article or whatever does not mention James Watt. Scott is the one who brought up Watt's, "quote," and by extension said that evangelicals would never support environmental causes. If there's a fight to be had it's between Jim and Scott. Jay just set the record straight on what Watt actually said and pointed out the problems with extreme views on all sides.

If there's enough people who want to do something after 9 we could either go to the Owl and Thistle or there's a place over by the Sears/SODO/Starbucks bldg. It's a dive, but I know the Owner and the manager there. Chuck you can call my cell if you're getting there late.

I always get affect and effect backwards.

I'm thinking you wouldn't have to work too hard to turn a woman into a lesbian at the Wild Rose.

How does outdoor recreation effect the nodder. How does it effect

I'm totally down with Andy's, but we might want to pick a location for later on. Or I suppose we could go earlier.

I'm not a big bible reader; however in the book Genisis god gives man stewardship over plants and animals. Stewardship is not ownership; stewardship means you can use things as long as you take care of them and leave things in good condition when you leave. I believe this is the line of thinking which makes evangelicals want to support environmental issues. GW has the backing of evangelicals on issues like abortion, but there are lots of them who don't like the anti environmental stance he takes.

I'll give you one excellent reason to buy a new car or truck. Tax deduction of course you've gotta have a business. You are right that buying a 3-5 year old vehicle is the best value. As long as the first owner didn't hammer it.

Snowboarders [whine] I don't like to traverse [/whine] Maybe if you didn't have both your legs tied together...oh wait thats skiing. Traversing keeps the riff raff out. Making people work a little bit cuts the crowds down and thus preserves powder. It's especially effective with the snowboard crowd who likes to sideslip down runs they can't ride.

I don't think CJZ had any issues with what Billygoat said. It's all you Klenke. It's mostly a matter of the emphasis of the climb over the missing person in your post. In any case I'm sure you weren't activly trying to be rude.

The inspector did spend a bunch of time crawling around dowm there. It's 18" everywhere under the joists but the beams are another story.

Andy's Diner!!! I loved that place when I was a kid; it doesn't get any better than eating on a train.

Like Fairweather, I did the same job shortly after the Nisqually Quake. The degree of nastiness is entirely a function of whether one can sit up or not. Fortunately, I could in this case. You gotta crawl under my house; plus there a beams that you need to squeeze under. Don't worry F I've spent a lot of time under my house in the year I've owned it.
-
Yes it does for the unimaginative If you want to learn something about the real world Fairweather you can come over and help me bolt my house to the foundation...I love my crawl space.

Maybe you should read a little more before you post Brian. A day late and a dollar short

It's the deep feeling of calm that comes over you after you drink a fifth of Tanqueray. and before you start puking.

Does NOLSe know about this new wind suit? I'm sure you could do some hyper alpinism with it.

It sure doesn't look worth driving from Seattle.

This thread has the convergence of two opposites. Pope hates all bolts Lucky has never seen a bolt, chipped hold, or other artificial feature that he doesn't love. Maybe the two of them will collide like matter and anti-matter and annihilate each other...one can only dream.

That's ok. The climbing ruled yesterday, but it was snowing this morning.
