fern Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 I think it's more likely she has a season's pass or discount ski card of some variety. you are all funny and cracking me up. this is the most fun thread in a while. chest-beat some more ... come on ... don't stop now!! Quote
fleblebleb Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Woo-hoo! Catfight w/ 2 cats + 1 arborist Quote
Fairweather Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 DAMN!! I think now would be a good time to start the annual Tele vs. AT vs. Alpine superiority debate! Â Just what type of "skiing" are you all talking about? Quote
Figger_Eight Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Alpine shouldn't even be in the argument. Alpine skiers are the sportclimbers of the winter scene. Quote
cracked Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Yes. Tele is far superior to AT when you own tele equipment. AT is far superior to tele when you own AT equipment. I own tele. Hence, tele is far superior to AT. I have never used AT. Any questions? (How's this for a biased, uninformed opinion? ) Quote
iain Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 you won't hear AT skiers bitching about how much better AT or tele is. They don't give a damn about what you are skiing, only what's on their feet and how much more sense it makes. Quote
AlpineK Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Woo-hoo! Catfight w/ 2 cats + 1 arborist  I'm kind of sad now. Why just last week I was thinking of asking TLG if she wanted to go dry tooling at exit 38. Quote
Skisports Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 (edited) both of them serve there purpose in the BC I do both and I have both. Tele is a lot more work and more pure of a turn. But You can ski longer hard faster on AT. Tele boots are easier to walkin and AT boots are better to ice climb in. So it totaly depends on what the trip agenda is. SO I do both and they are both great. Edited December 27, 2002 by Skisports Quote
gapertimmy Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 sport climber of the winter scene, thats classic  so my question is this... what do you call a tele skier that 90% of the time skis on lift serviced mountains?  I've seen a TON of freeheelers on bachy this year, and access to bc turns is right across the road at the formidle tumalo. Quote
Skisports Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 (edited) If you look at that way... Alpine skiers and snowboards are like sport climbers. And tele skiers that pertend they are trad climbers so in essences they bring there trad rack to smith and climb super slab and cinnimon crack and that is there life story Edited December 27, 2002 by Skisports Quote
allison Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 I've always considered myself one of the sport climbers of the ski world. You don't have to have any skillz to ski at a ski hill except skiing. When I go to the ski hill I pay my money and ski down the hill. Only skiing, no uppity-up and no avy anything. Sure, it's easier, and it's funfunfunfunfun. Â K, I think you should take TLG to dry-tool at 38. From the looks of this thread, she's got all of the makings of a future ex-girlfriend to me! Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 fern hit it on the head - i've got a season pass. and i didn't have to give up any "sugar" for it. Â thanks for the offer to drytool, alpinek, but i don't like to belay people who are twice my weight, and wielding a grudge AND a couple of sharp ice tools. maybe other time ... Â and allison, don't go trying to hook me up with any of your ex-es. the guys you're dating are old enough to be my dad! Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Been awhile since we have had some high quality spray with name calling, insults, threats ect...... Keep it up. All this stupid shit will make this board famous!!! Quote
Greg_W Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 Dave, you are such a dick!!! Why would you spew such vile drivel? Wanker!!!!!!! Quote
allison Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 TLG, you respect your elders, or I'm taking you over my knee and spanking you with my hairbrush!! Quote
Muir_on_Saturday Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 TLG, you respect your elders, or I'm taking you over my knee and spanking you with my hairbrush!! Â can we watch?? i think that would beat a wet t-shirt contest!! Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 yeah; the wet t-shirt thing wouldn't be much of a contest. i'll concede already, as i'm sure allison would win that one hands down. don't tempt me with the spanking, though ... i don't know if i could resist!!! Quote
Gordonb Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 No conceding until after the judging! javascript:void(0) Besides TLG already has a fan club here at my office. (I am not the founder) Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 a fan club? woohoo!!! and i thought y'all were haters ... Quote
allison Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 I said I'd take her over my knee and give her a spanking, but I do not recall agreeing to any sort of wet t-shirt contest!! Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 27, 2002 Posted December 27, 2002 yeah, erik would probably beat both of us! Quote
