Floyd, Frankie, Tyler and now George? That is starting to be too many to keep denying although I suspect there is too much money involved to expect confessions. Doping isn't exactly against the law or is it?

the biggest point is to make it clear that 90% of the peloton juiced and this dumbass is preventing cycling from trying to cleanup.if he admits to the widespread use, like a lot of riders when they retire, we can move on...fucker thinks its about HIM as usual..

.oh yeah the guy has no resemblance of a conscience or a soul for using cancer like that... all deception all for money.

"Doping isn't exactly against the law or is it?"

In the US doping may not be against the law, unlike those gay socialist Euros, who will toss your butt in the slammer for juicing. But, he's the subject of an ongoing investigation into defrauding the gummint by essentially being on the USPS payroll while engaging in certain acts which were forbidden in his contract. So, everyone else on the team was doin' it and LA had nooooo idea?

Ya but he "the most tested athlete tested" and yet we are only hearing about this through other athletes? I say enough of the wasted tax payer $$ over this. The french have been trying to bust him for years. Get over it, he got away with it.

Why do people expect professional athletes and Governators to be such upstanding people.? They are Type A+ personalities that are driven more then you can imagine, even to a fault. I wish I could still believe he was clean, but whatever. How do we expect these guys to race these schedules and stages not using drugs and for it to be exciting? I was at one of the hardest stage finishes in Europe in '05 and it almost killed me riding up to close to the finish line.

I'm certainly not sticking up for what he did, and who knows what we would all do if we were presented with the same dilemma. But a couple things that need to be cleared up.

The USPS sponsorship actually made the USPS money through the incredible amount of licensed goods produced, enough to cover the sponsorship. They sponsored the team to get visibility in Europe. This is in contrast to the billions of dollars they are losing now.

I think this is about taking down one of the "best" athletes in history for this Novitsky guy, not about the good of the people. If you look at it, they spent $55 million trying to take down Bonds, and what do they get? Very little. How much tax payer money goes into ballparks? Billlions. The USPS sponsorship was maybe $10 million a year. How many kids are actually going to get into bike racing versus baseball or football.

How about because Lance markets himself as a wonderful person and many, many, people seem to think he's an awesome guy? Why do adult americans desperately want to believe in the tooth fairy?

I don't expect professional athletes to be upstanding people. That's why I hate lance so much, because he tries to trick people in thinking that he is, when really, by most accounts, he's a giant fucking douche.

Also, I want all those whiny idiots who STILL believe he's clean to eat a bag of shit.

Is that so much to ask? :P

can't say i really understand all the hate directed at armstrong.

just like any tour rider, he simply wouldn't have been a tour rider in the first place without doping. it's just the reality now.

and further, even though you still have to be the best of the best athlete to succeed even with the doping, you have to be good at diguising it, so the tour is really about being the best rider, with the best team, with the best doping schemes.

Has Lemond admitted? Indurain? Hinault? etc. etc. the reason these americans are coming out seems to be 1. they don't have much to lose anymore and 2. they risk criminal charges if caught lying.

the real question should be:

can contador win 10 tours.

uh, the real question: why the fuck does anyone want to watch a bunch of dudes in nut-hugger outfits ride bikes for days on end? :noway:

Cause he's so goddamn self-righteous and smarmy about it. Can't he just be cool, instead of acting like a dickhead all the time? We all know he doped, just like all the other guys who win tours. Don't be such a cockhead about it, Lance. But instead, he has spent years carefully sculpting his image into some sort of fucking righteous saint, and invented this fake persona that just pisses me off.

And all those fucktards that have had a huge erection for him can go suck it, too. They're the ones that have made him so fucking annoying, because there is nothing worse than having to deal with a bunch of idiots who have been tricked by a conman. It's like dealing with Scientologists, or vaccine-deniers.

blah, what a load of horse semen. "Oh Lance, I love you!!!!"

it's not clear to me that it wouldn't lead to a more open race or that we'd notice the difference in performance.
