* spend my money more wisely than I did in 2010

* file my taxes in the next week

* fix my yard that I just destroyed moving 2500 pound trailer over wet mushy ground

* install bigger skylights so I can enjoy the sun AND rain more

* fix my wifes MTB before she kills me

* go skiiing some more

* take more RAD footage with the GoPro..shouldnt be hard!

* get kids (4 and 2) on more real rock this year.

* take the training wheels off the 2-year-olds bike in next 4 months.

But generally:

* less working

* more playing

So much to do, so little time!!

Loose more weight (lost 26 in almost 4 months)

Actually put a harness on and climb outdoors more that twice (like 2010)

Take my 4 year old outside to climb.

Get on some harder climbs that used to feel easy and flail.

- Stay healthy and climb with friends.

- Crag new route FAs. Two may be too hard for this year, but other projects should go down.

Do at least one multipitch rock FA in the mountains.

Get more people stoked to climb at a crag I've been developing.

Redpoint Bust the Rhythm and find a few other 12 projects.

Get the kids on real rock more this summer, and share that with friends.

One goal has already been achieved this year: boulder my first V6 indoors.

Many family, friends and work tick list items, but I won't list them here...

Another important one: motivate past, present, and future team members to keep the NWMJ going!

This one is hard because it depends on many people stepping up and pulling the sleigh. You know who you are...

Nice one, Rad. The NWMJ has been a major "tick" of CC.COM posters, for nearly ten years, and keeping it going is on both yours and my 2011 tick list.

Anybody who doesn't know what we are talking about should check here:

Northwest Mountaineering Journal

Look at last year's edition and check the "archive" link to see what you've been missing.

This is a project that has been fed by cc.com and the broader community of Northwest climbers for many years but is now in particular need of contributions.

In response to this thread: my goals for the year are to (1) take advantage of improving health to climb with my friends, and (2) to enjoy a climbing season.

Tick list?

(1) Finish my 4 year project with a 5 pitch crag climb;

(2) climb a new route on a significant Cascade peak over-looked by local hardmen because it appears easy; and

(3) enjoy barbeque at tailhead upon completion of more than one climb that I think deserves a celebration.

people!

Get on Rad's climbs!

They are.... well... rad!

Seriously!

agreed. I did a couple and one of the two I did is the best route at the far side area. (IMO) Gear route!

Rad, I think all you need to do is make a photo with route overlays and a written descriptions and the people will come.

what crag are you developing? I'm psyched to explore new crags this season.

It's up at Exit 38 Far Side, near Headlight Point. Rad is pretty good with giving guided tours. The area needs more aficianados. I might come out to play this Summer too and finish a proj not even Rad knows about, but will need to replenish my stolen bolt and hanger cache :|

-clean some shit out at Broughton

-Lead Spiderman

-Get on the exposed routes at Smitty (Zion, Voyage if the Cowdog?, Thin Air)

-Put these leathers to use and get some 3 pins

-send the campus-to-mantel problem at school

-Get the lady on some RAWK

-quit smoking

-go back through Yos and/or Moab and actually touch some rock instead of getting raped by the Beehive troopers and the NPS

-learn some fingerpickin

Far Side out past Ozone on the the way to the RAWK? I'd like to get out there. I heard I can place some gear out there and there is a surprise waiting for me ;) A guided tour is needed since Tim's book won't some out soon enough...
