  2. Heyo! Bought these for a [now] exgirlfriend and we broke up before she ever used them. Was hoping to get $80 for them, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Make me an offer eh. Pick in Portland area. Cheers, ~Adam
  3. or ClimbMax looks like they might have some in store on NE Broadway. They are anchor bolts, just a different style and I figure they might work. http://www.climbaxe.com/truboltwedgeexpansionanchors.aspx
  4. Paging Bill Coe; please pick up the white courtesy phone.

  6. For sure! I can't believe that was five years ago. Thanks for the help!
  7. There was a great TR from a few years ago all about the Joy of Hyggelig. There was a nice video of a peaceful campfire in the backcountry and I am in need of some of the joy I remember that bringing me. Trouble is that I can't seem to find it via google searching the hell out of the CC TR's. So here I am looking for help composing my holiday wish-list. Can anyone please help me out in locating this TR? "Sex Worker" "Sex Worker" "Sex Worker" ~Adam
  8. That chunk of rock caught my eye a few years ago. I did a little research back then and found that the approach was on private logging land (can't remember if it was Stimson of Weyer) so I left it be. There are a number of TR's on OregonHikers.org from folks hiking up that way in recent years and at cursory glance there is nothing about "No Trespassing" signs. shapp, I would be curious to check it out if you get the go. I have been told the view is quite nice.
  9. I just got off the phone with one of the rangers and she said the recent rock fall has caused the most extensive damage to the hiker's trail she has seen in her ten years at the park. Right now the entire rock is closed to all activity. I will call back tomorrow to chat with the park manager about allowing climbing on the south side with rappel descents only. Bummer with the dry weather forecast for this weekend. I would be happy to help with trundling if the BRCA is allowed to do that.
  10. Interesting. That is about all it says on the website too. http://parks.state.wa.us/AlertCenter.aspx?AID=940 Give 'em a call eh? (509) 427-8265
  11. Grad school has me on a pretty full schedule, but the next two weekends can be open to go slogging through a rocky earth-birthing canal.
  12. I've got a couple pear shaped autolockers that I won't ever use. They are yours if you want them Ben.
  13. Do you think all the recent rain has created a plunge for the end? You were talking about how much "fun" that could be when were chatting out at Beacon.
  14. I think they are Polish. Also, 1:41 - if you are ever tempted to finger hook a hanger.
  15. See ya'all B-tards out there on the morrow. 't'll likely be somewhere around noon with a couple of home brew growlers. Looking to take a lap or two on teh corner.
  16. I got a pair of the 5.10 Guide Tennies a while ago over the Boulder X purely for the room in the toe box. They have been treating me well and I can trek a few miles in them just fine. The edge nicely. I use them mostly for bouldering breaks at PSU and they they are not the thing holding me back from V6. They are not that great on wet surfaces like alluded to above. It would be good to hear some first hand experience about the Alpina approach shoes. They look slick.
  17. Its only at ~3000' feet so I doubt that there is much in the way of snow up there. Snow levels have hardly dropped that low this year and they've get rain on it shortly after. Caveman's webcam in Trout Lake makes it look like there won't be much snow up there. Maybe some isolated patches, but probably nothing that the red devil can't handle. http://www.wunderground.com/webcams/caveman/1/show.html
  18. The ice on Multnomah early today. GO GET IT!!!!!!!
  19. fatty green rope and a helmet that has "Fah Q" on it?
  20. I'll be driving PDX to Trout Lake on Thursday; I'll keep an eye out. Let me know if there is something in particular eye should be looking at via PM or this thread.
  21. Hey folks, Something strangely aligned I am headed to the Methow Region for a week in mid May. I haven't been to the region and hadn't planned on being up there anytime soon so I am not familiar with it enough to know what conditions are going to be like that time of year and what is going to be climbable. I would love recommendations for moderate (5.7 or so) alpine rock routes that will be climbable that time of year. Its probably a long shot that any thing will be cleared of snow and dry at the time, but we're headed up there for Morels (we have been a little unscrupulous as of late) and need something to do besides walking around and staring at the ground. Sport cragging is a last resort. Snow routes up to 50° or so are also on the radar if you have any suggestions on that as well. Thanks in advance eh
  22. My two cents.. Metolius TCU's are great for the smaller stuff. I find myself place the yellow one a lot as it is right on with my finger size. Camp pink TCU, surprised no one mentioned that yet, is a piece I take with me almost everywhere. Hexes are lighter for larger pro, but the are a bit trickier to place. This is a cheaper way to cover that size without throwing down for a spendy, large cam. Not having C4's will only piss off gumbies. You'll want DMM offsets if you ever come down and play on the basalt down south here in the Gorge, but why would you ever do that?! Rad was spot on about cleaning pitches. And.. nutcraft, good stuff. Play with other folks' gear to find what you like and can place confidently. Then when you build your own rack with it, you will have confidence in it.
  23. Pretty Lights eh If you like them check out: Paper Diamond Random Rab Beats Antique Emancipator Tycho Or pretty much anyone from the What The Festival lineup. Anywho, currently listen to Portland Cello Project. Listen to tons of Phish most of the time
