mtnhippy
I'm currently enrolled in a WFR course and during each class, the instructor calls on someone to demonstrate a knot that nobody else knows. We're all climbers. I'm having trouble finding one to present. Any suggestions or resources? Thanks.
bar-tacked
Try this one, it can come handy if you ever forget climbing partner http://www.igkt.net/beginners/solomon-man.php Seriously though, you can try Blake's Hitch (at least I didn't know it)
dberdinka
Teach them the Overhand Slippery Knot for all their rad Grade VII speed solos. (backup knot that releases when pulled from above but in theory synches tighter when pulled from below. Used to backup a haulbag hanging from a hook) Edited March 5, 2009 by dberdinka

Mtguide
The newest tie-in knot, the Yosemite Bowline, can be found at Climbing magazine's website. There may be some who know it,but it seems most are still using the follow-through figure 8.

peas
A nice, simple one that is also useful in everyday life is a modification to the regular bow that you use to tie your shoelaces. Pretty much just wrap twice instead of once just before finishing the bow. The added friction of the 2nd wrap means that your shoelaces stay tied, but you can also untie them easily when you want. http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/betterbowknot.htm
