Dannible Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Not too shabby. How were the glaciers looking up there? Quote
layton Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 Challenger Glacier looked dandy, the glacier spilling down from Challenger 2+3 looks a bit dry, everything else was snowfields. Quote
G-spotter Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 The winter line looks way cooler from the scurlock photos than it does close up, Â That's probably the 5.4 route anyway Quote
Tom_Sjolseth Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 INTENSE. Â Nice write-up, Mike. I always enjoy your TRs. Quote
wexxx Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 (edited) Mikey, Â J-Mart (Jason Martin) and I are chilling Peru-style, getting serious shits n giggles outta yer piece. Nice work. Two things: 1) You do look gay in that photo and 2)we think your helmet looks clienty. That said, way to slay on Spectre Peak. You da man! Â Andrew + Jason Edited August 18, 2006 by wexxx Quote
layton Posted August 18, 2006 Author Posted August 18, 2006 JwexxMart, Last I heard, "Chilling Peru-Style" meant lots and lots of unlubricated hardcore anal sex...and well, that's pretty clienty. Quote
wexxx Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 (edited) Touche Mr.Layton... Touche. Edited August 18, 2006 by wexxx Quote

Choada_Boy Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Why didn't you guys take the auto road to the summit? Quote
wayne Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 There wasnt a reality-based one available at the time Quote
olyclimber Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 Never let reality hold you back. Â Good jorb with the climb and hike adventure wayne and mike. Quote
magellan Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Good Lord! I've been waiting for Laytonesque insanity and it's finally here! Â The peak is not marked on my map, as far as I can tell. Is it the steep west wall leading up to a 7800+ plateau, just south and a little east of Phantom? Â Roger Jung was a badass soloist. Quote
rat Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Wow Michael, you're the first stranger I ever sprayed on behalf for to my friends out here in Colorado!! Nice climb and I am jealous. Glad the rock turned out to be solid. It just is deflating when a climb you've been jones-ing on after a while ends up being choss.  mike, doesn't this make you feel both afraid and kinda unclean?  nice job, guys. that rock looks great. wexxx Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Last I heard, "Chilling Peru-Style" meant lots and lots of unlubricated hardcore anal sex...and well, that's pretty clienty. Â Â Does anyone else find this as funny as I do? I find it very funny. Hysterical in fact. Â Thanks Mike. You're the best! Don't ever change. Mean it, Wex Quote
layton Posted August 21, 2006 Author Posted August 21, 2006 but not "Ha HA" funny if you know what I mean Quote
Dr_Flush_Amazing Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Â Layton is a very special person, with a crazy sense of humor. He may tease and kid around alot, but really Layton is a rather kind and sensitive guy. He has stong opinions, but is very loving. He is a fun guy to have around. He can lighten moods and bring laughter to any situation. Quote
DirtyHarry Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 I envision that this picture and the above commentary shall adorn the outdoor signboard of Layton's first chiropracting practice. Or atleast be displayed predominantly in the waiting room. I believe that it would provide comfort for those going in for a proctology exam. Quote
