Been going to Exit 38 a lot in the evenings lately and looking for a new post-climb hangout. We're getting bored with the North Bend Bar and Grill. Suggestions?

the north bend bar and grill should be avoided at all costs. blech! i've been sick each of the 4 times i've eaten there. North Bend suffers from a dirth of decent eateries. Try the rogue brew pub in Issaquah. tasty food and beer.

The North Bend Pizza Place is called "The Pizza Place". Pretty good pizza. Robertiello's is a nice Italian joint on the main strip. They have good food and have accomodated parties of stinky climbers in the past.

GORDY'S STEAK & BBQ SMOKEHOUSE

Thursday nights is biker night. Beer and a Brat for $4 or $5. Many cool Harleys lined up. Live country music too. (S.Side of E32)

Decent food, good beer, shitty hours- they close at 9:00 or something. LAME.

Sadly, with the shorter evenings, this is now doable. Kitchen closes at 9, bar closes at 10. You can call ahead sometimes and beg them to stay open a few minutes for your illustrious arrival (doesn't always work).

This is assmonkey's favorite Seattle metro area eatery, besides Dick's. Assmonkey loves Dick's, mmmm mmmm.

Thumbs up for both places.

I think we can thank M. Volken for the Itailan place being stinky-friendly as his shop's across the street.

Not that he's a stinky guy or anything like that.

Rhody's in the Shell Station (on the way to the mfk road) has great bbq but does lack in ambience. I've been hearing great things about Gordy's lately, exit 32 on the S side of the fwy.

Scott's Dairy Freeze.

Shakes and burgers and chicken and such, and I think there's a Ms. Pacman game back there too...

however, i don't believe you can get beer.

the burgers and shakes are cheeburga_ron.gifbigdrink.gif and ms pacman.... HCL.gif

Yeah, hit the Mt Si Tavern. We need to over run that place with climbers and whitewater boaters. Make the loggers and mill workers uncomfortable. Seriously though, Mostly nice people at the Mt Si, pool and darts. The Big lady will challenge you at pool though, so watch yourself, she's good.

Small Fries in Fall City, but the name contradicts the size for one order of fries. If one needs to fatten-up before some big trip then go there. Their shakes are good tasting too. The place is small, the service sucks and don't expect the place to look like it can pass any health inspection. But the food is worth it.

The downside to this place is that it's too close to my house.

I-90 east to exit 17, Front Street. Right (south) off the ramp onto Front Street. Right (west) on Sunset. It will almost immediately on your left (south), across the street from the new library.

Issaquah Brewhouse or Rogue Alehouse or something. Was originally privately owned, but is now owned by Rogue. The food is much better than it used to be, and the beer is great.

I'll second the notion that the brew pub has great beer.

And if you are a Seattleite heading home, it's only a few minutes of I-90 - you can tip one back while letting bridge traffic die down.

The brew pub is alright though.

If you want a clasic eastside experience drive a few miles west to Eastgate and go to Lil Jon's. A clasic diner and bar that's been there as long as I can remember. bigdrink.gif

I thought a classic eastside experience involved a visit to Microsoft and lunch at McDonalds. wave.gif
