As of right now the road to Toulome is closed and I read that there was 30' of snow at Tioga pass. The weather has turned warm down there, but I bet there's still going to be a lot of snow at the end of June.

I'm thinking hard about heading down.

I'm sorry to say that didn't happen. I came pretty close to being busted for staying over the 7 day limit at C4. The weather turned pretty nice a couple days after the flood. I want to go back!!!

Dude we totally surfed the falls today. It was rad....OMFG!!!!!

The weather was much better today. We got a few good pitches in, but now it's raining. We managed to cook dinner outside tonight though. we saw the satalite news teamout reporting o n the yos disaster. They wouldnt let us on camera. daamn them. unfortunnately we arestill sober right now. that will change shortly we are both kinda crabby we couldnt find a parking pot the meadows are not flooded anymore we saw a coyote and it almot walked up to the car to smell my hand we look forwardd to man y sunny days ahead if not, then we will have to start downing the nyquil. Until it starts raining/flooding again! -c/k

I'd say that it's kind of a wimpy pasive agresive thing to do to when you don't ask to pass a slow party and don't say a thing to their face but come back to cc.com and rag on them. I can understand the desire for someone new to climbing to try a, "classic," climb. From the sounds of it you were in over your heads, but you did manage to get up the climb and back to the car safely. Just keep in mind that by going slow you are actually increasing the risk of being caught by bad weather both for your party and the parties behind you. Maybe that's not a huge worry around here since we don't get too many thunderstorms, but in other areas you're asking for a lightning bolt up your butt. OS is a really popular climb. If I went up to Snow Creek Wall and saw 4 parties ahead of me on OS I'd instantly go climb Mary Jane or Orbit rather than wait. They're good climbs that nobody ever does.

I don't know anything about all this fancy pants terminoligy, but I do know a thing or two about geeks. Geeks were originally circus performers who bit the heads off of animals, typically chickens. Usually the type of person who would take a job as a geek was an old alchoholic down on his luck.

It gives you someting to do other than cry like a baby when you can't get out because you don't have the time or money to fly to Thailand. I wonder about you though. The weather's been good for a while, but you're still not getting out.
