Charlie-Ann Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 -Contest is only open to users currently registered on cc.com as of today (today as in the day I posted this and not the day you read it) Does this mean I am not eligible to participate since I didn't sign up with an user account until 6/17 eventhough the contest was announced via email on 6/23? Just out of curiosity, why this rule? You might encourage more users to sign up if you made the photo contest open to all. Quote

jon Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 Does this mean I am not eligible to participate since I didn't sign up with an user account until 6/17 eventhough the contest was announced via email on 6/23? Just out of curiosity, why this rule? You might encourage more users to sign up if you made the photo contest open to all. Since you have taken the time to ask you are welcome to enter. The rule is in place because we would rather reward our long time users then give prizes to people who will enter and then never come back. I certainly understand your point, though. Quote
jon Posted June 28, 2011 Author Posted June 28, 2011 The deadline for the photo contest is July 15. Thanks for everyones submissions so far! Quote

wfinley Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Scenic - the south face of Mt. Blackburn as seen from the summit of Donoho Peak. Alpine - nearing 17K on the West Buttress on a perfect May afternoon. Skiing - heading up Tincan ridge (Kenai Mountains / Alaska) on a December day. Cragging - the late great James Welton rapping down "Casino Queen" in Lamoille Canyon - July 2008. RIP James. Humor - The Chugach powder test dog. Size & density of snow balls tell you what kind of wax to use and whether or not to bring the phat skis. Quote
