wayne Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I hope to expand it and make it a decent site, Yes it may be about my favorite person in the world, but I plan on putting in some stuff from other topics, Wayne Waynessite Quote
pup_on_the_mountain Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007  Your looooooooong list of climbs is a true inspiration. I'll consider myself lucky if I can get up 1% of everything you have done so far, in my entire life. BTW, I'm not sure if its just me (or my broser, mozilla), but your chart of mountaineering genealogy is hard to read. Quote
Serenity Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I'm running Mozilla 2.0.0.4 and I can read it just fine. Nice site Wayne. You've kept detailed logs of your climbing. Quote
Sherri Posted December 23, 2007 Posted December 23, 2007 I love the concept of the "What Do To" chart! Excellent planning tool you got there, Wayne. Quote
rmncwrtr Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 LOL on your favorite person in the world. I love your "What To Do" chart. Your list of climbs is very impressive. I am on a mac and using safari and had no problem reading your Genealogy of Climbing page. Though more than a few of those I have no idea what they are! Quote
wayne Posted December 25, 2007 Author Posted December 25, 2007 I have a problem with that chart too, I have tried a couple of different times. Keep checking back, I want to expand it when I have time. Good thing to do this time of year, Thanks for you encouragement, Wayne Quote
pindude Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Inspirational site, Wayne. Looking forward to more TRs: may you compile at least 10 more pages of major routes! Quote
wayne Posted January 2, 2008 Author Posted January 2, 2008 Wohoo, thanks, What a fun project. Everyone should have a page! Friends have helped modernize it and it may be reloaded soon. I fixed the Specialization chart. Check back from time to time. Now that I have seen the potential, I really hope to make it a significant contribution to the NW climbing scene, and not just an embarrassing self aggrandizement. Quote
wayne Posted January 5, 2008 Author Posted January 5, 2008 (edited) ok , got the New Site somewhat loaded up, Huge thanks to the amazing Tim Olson for making this happen, Wayne Edited January 5, 2008 by wayne1112 Quote
rmncwrtr Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 The home page looks great, but when I click on the geneology and timeframe links fI only see a blue box with white question mark in it. No image. I'm on a Mac running Safari. Quote
Off_White Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Nice. You might want to edit in a distinction between First Ascent and a first ascent for you personally. I did do a double take when it appeared that you had made the first ascent of the dog route on Mt St Helens. The mountaineering genealogy chart doesn't appear either, though that might be a firefox glitch. Oh, more pictures, or some sort of select picture gallery would be great. I've seen all the big alpine TR stuff, but would like to see more of the diverse cragging and wall stuff too. edit: oh, reading other posts, it looks like that chart is hit or miss for various people. missed for me, but maybe I'll try a different browser. wayne Posted January 5, 2008 Author Posted January 5, 2008 I know I got one of the last dog route ascents, We had a dog with us. I will be adding more pages in the future for sure . I feel like such a slut asking people to save it in favorites. Quote
billcoe Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Sweet website! sure is - thanks for sharing it Wayne. Quote
rbw1966 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Nice work Wayne--your climbing log is impressive and inspiring. Quote
Bug Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 Is that all? Seriously, I really like your writing style. It gives the flavor of the climb without a lot of hype and chest beating. Excellent work and obviously exceptional climbing! Quote
letsroll Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 There you go Wayne your back on top...lol. Quote
mtn_mouse Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Nice list of accomplishments. However, I didn't see the ascent of Rumdoodle on your goals. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Hunchback of Notre dame redux ? Her posture looks pretty decent to me. Quote
wayne Posted January 24, 2008 Author Posted January 24, 2008 Hi, Thanks for you input, You can see I have taken them to task. There have been many new pages loaded since the last note. Check out the North Pickets Page! Please feel free to give more suggestions, Wayne Quote
Otto Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I like the "many sports within climbing" idea. It reminds me of the great essay, "Games Climbers Play" by Lita Tejada-Flores. By the way, I've got your time beat on The Nose, we did it in four days! Thanks for putting up the good site. Quote
