WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

I'm at 14,656 "files" on my computer. Thats @ 78 gigabites of music so far. They won't fit on my sons 40 gig Ipod.

Some of those files are full albums, so it must be well over 16,000 songs right now I would guess.

I'm still lacking some Jethro Tull (hint hint), but I have some other real rare and/or interesting songs (hint hint) if you are interested. Touch base when we are out climbing.

It's basically oldies with some current stuff like Green-day and country tossed in. I have been pro-active and deleted ALL of the massive amounts of "hip-hop" on that computer, generated from allowing a 14 year old access to it, which I found to sound like crap. That left about 1 album, Ice-T's the "iceberg", and a handful of songs from various "rap artists" if those words can really be used together.

BTW, with over 14,000 files, I still do not have anything that Skeezix just mentioned. In fact, never even heard of that stuff!

A quick seach and listen and some of that stuff sounds great! Thanks for sharing Skeezix.

diverse. more 80's new-age jazz than one might expect... equal amounts radiohead and michael hedges. I'm wondering about some of the one-song bands, like jane's addiction and van halen. I'll guess "jane says" and "runnin' with the devil."

As of late he's getting airplay on the Halo 2 video game. It's probably his biggest audience since he went toe to toe with Ralph Macchio in Crossroads.

No, they've gotta be "Been Caught Stealing," and "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love."

What's the lone Cyndi Lauper song? I'm guessing it's "She Bop."

And only 48 Steely Dan songs? Gee, I'd be hard pressed to just pick my favorite 48. That "Cuervo gold, fine Columbian" song would have to be near the top though.

no doubt. If you add in the 16 Donald Fagen and 10 Walter Becker songs, you've got a total of 74 steely dan-related tunes to pick from.

and what about that ONE thompson twins song... "hold me now?"
