Friday - Saw ski porn in Fremont.

Saturday - Did yard work, cleaned up the basemont, visited gramdma, read, did yoga and generly chilled out.

Sunday - Mountain bike ride at Metcalf Trust on Whidbey Island. Some cool trails with room for more.

Friday - Wife and I bought our first ever set of downhill skis and boots

Knee surgery in Bellingham thursday. Drove to Taholah Saturday. Sunday plugged Gibson lap steel guitar into a Fender Vibro Champ and played "Look So Good." Sunday afternoon went for a limp on the beach.

Fri - went out to dinner, then back at home got lucky

Sat - ice climbing and glacier stuff on hood

Sun - ran, cycled, then climbed at the gym followed by negating any health benefits by going to dinner and drinking entirely too much.

now - sorta hungover

Went to my boy's first wrestling tournament!

Sat: easy hike with family (Baker River). Mostly sunny but chilly. Nice views of Shuksan/Sulphide Glacier.

Sun: checked out REI sale. Bought snowshoes.

Sun: Learned how to stay safe in the powpow, courtesy of the CAA workshop, and drank beer w/ M&K.

Shred - was that you (looked like a team of 3) way up there on the right coliour (I was looking up from eliot)? If so, what happened on the decent? I saw what looked like the same 3 trying to come down that way, but then they went back up and it looked like a bail out onto sunshine... but I never saw anybody come around that way.

I was thinking it looked like a nailbiter going up, but coming down... fogetaboutit.

If it WAS you guys, good job on the accent!!!!!

1:30-2 pm was 'bout the right time and that final pitch was being taken pretty slowly (for damn good reason), so yeah must have been you guys. Thought you guys sumitted and then was headed back down the same way, but I was so f'n cold I couldn't think straight so who the hell knows what I was seeing.

Had a hankerin' for some outdoor rock climbing. I guess I haven't admitted that winter is here and that I should be going ice climbing.

 

Sat climbed at Royal Columns (Tieton) with Squid. A bit chilly and DAMN did the sun go down early! Enjoyed the swingin' nightlife of Natchez!

 

Sun climbed at "The Cave" (Tieton) which is south/southwest facing, so we thought we'd have some sun and warmth, but it was a bit cloudy and chilly. Good stuff there including some licheny cracks that we top roped that weren't in the book. Fun!

Snowshoed up to Muir on Sunday in some of the most delightful fall conditions I can ever remember. Not a breath of wind, great temps for aerobics, and perfect snow for foot paddles.
