bunglehead Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 There's a brewer down here in Oregon that uses spruce tips in one of their beers. From the taste of it, it's like half spruce tips. Tastes like soap. Siletz beer. Blecch! Quote

At this juncture it may be worth noting that Bridgeport is owned by Gambrinus - the same people that import Corona. Celebration ale's good stuff! Quote
glacier Posted December 3, 2003 Posted December 3, 2003 Winter seasonals are my favorites - Maritime Pacific's Jolly Roger Snowcap - btw, does the E-9 in Tacoma still do 'Christmas in July' with a spare keg or two of Snowcap? Quote
scott_harpell Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 not a seasonal, but in the wintertime, i like McKewans 9% and thick as a brick. Quote
willstrickland Posted December 4, 2003 Author Posted December 4, 2003 Werd! I just drank the last Wassail, so I now I got plenty 'o things to look for when I jet over to the store. Definitely gonna stock up the Alaskan Smoked Porter big bottles, and try to round up some of that Jolly Roger...sounds like a winner. I've had the Bigfoot, Caveman, and I gotta say, it's mighty tasty. So many choices....good thing I've got a lot of problems to drink off my mind! Anybody know what Rogue's seasonal is? Man, that Rogue pub in NW PDX is the shizzle, a little pricey, but superb beer! Quote
allthumbs Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 ah, listening to you connoisseurs makes my mouth water 'fraid it's ESB RedHooks for this child Quote
