    UPS

Portland!! Then you will be more inclined for 2nd day air next time. That is if you don't go with Fed-Ex.
  2. But the Billie Jean is not my lover, so I'll be there
  3. reminds me of my ex, Mount Anything
  4. For $350 the Nemo looks like a steal, 8 minutes left to make up my mind. Too bad I'm already over my monthly quota for gear purchases :-(
  5. I have a 2001 Aprilia SL1000 Falco. Just got some saddle bags which fit my bivy and climbing gear perfectly. It is the only way to ride to WA Pass.
  6. (crickets chirping)....and the winner of the debate is Hydroman for silencing the naysayers.
  7. I did the same downsizing, no complaints. Although I would be worried if you eliminated a belay device in favor of a munter in your weight saving quest. Rope kinks suck.
  8. Ever been so high, that you ate Fancy Feast?

    Worst bosses ever

Did you guys see the movie "Waiting"? The manager there has to be the archtype for the Food Service industry.
  10. Bad ass, I was lurking around PRG's website for info on this. Can't wait to see the new Cobras and actually show up with my gear to climb.
  11. Doubt it will happen. Even if he is convicted, he will be pardoned Scooter style.

    Worst bosses ever

Boss, "Hey I need you to write some credit memos. When I have some time we can go over it" Me, "That's not necessary, just give me the documentation and I will take care of it." Boss, "Well I have it on an Excel spreadsheet, lets' go over it later." Me, "I can read a spreadsheet." The micromanager still went over it with me.
  13. Lucky, I saw the fusions online yesterday, but they went faster than Tool tickets
  14. Pradagonia's summer sale ends today, they had their lightweight down sweaters at 50% off. Still for the best weight to warmth ratio, WM & FF are the leaders.
  15. The next step in the evolution of drunk dialing....drunk posting. Rejoice!!!
  16. Agreed, it is a great tent that held up for me on Rainer, Baker, & Helens. Although my friend had a pole break in high winds on Rainer on a separate occasion. Still I am keeping mine. Using just the fly & ground cloth is a viable option if bugs aren't a problem.

    pick up lines...

"If your ass was a Chinese dish, I would have the Poo Poo platter" It actually worked. The problem was that the kind of girl that goes for a line like that wasn't worth messing with.
  18. I ordered a Cilogear 45L pack and will post a review once tested. The BD predator 50L was overkill for me ~5 lbs. I have been using a 32L Sphynx with great results; i.e. I pack less unnecessary crap.
  19. His first CD is hilarious. The best track is America the Augmented. I have been waiting for the his new material.
  20. Thanks John, I passed it on to my buddy who is doing the Fisher Chimney route this weekend.
  21. Last time I was up there was June 3rd. It was still covered in snow, but it was melting everywhere. A lot can change, but I imagine there is still mashed potatoes up there.
  22. It's more like comparing Windows to Mac. I got a metolius rack and wish I had paid extra for the BDs. I got two off the small super cams. Mainly because I would hesitate to place one on the off chance that I would need it further up the pitch. Now I use both. The range is almost equal to a metolius #7 & #8 on the small.
  23. No doubt a few Noobs got scarred. We did a crevasse rescue z-pulley exercise a week prior on the Easton and it pissed on us. I have never needed to have on 5 layers prior to than. We lost a couple from our Baker trip due to that experience. We headed down around 9:30 am. Of course, visibility improved lower when the snow turned to rain. Our group on the Boulder route slept in till 11:30 and faced far worse conditions going down. Sounds like you dealt with the same BS.
  24. My team must have been camping right next to you. We were the 7 party (4 tents) that assesed the conditions at 2 am. My head lamp has 3 settings, high , med & low. You know it's bad when the visibility on high is the same as low. Bravo for starting out in the morning. Unfortunately conditions only deteriorated. Some other friends of mine attempted the Boulder route and made the same call.
