Pederasty in Ancient Greece "Sparta, a Dorian polis, is thought to be the first city to practice athletic nudity, and one of the first to formalize pederasty.[70] The Spartans believed that the love of an older, accomplished aristocrat for an adolescent was essential to his formation as a free citizen. The agoge, the education of the ruling class, was thus founded on pederastic relationships required of each citizen.[71] Xenophon is his Constitution of the Lacedaimonians says that the relationship among Spartan man and boys "were opposed to" pederasty, that man should make "ideal friends" out of boys, and if that the man was sexually attracted to the boy, it was considered "an abomination" tantamount to incest. [72] Plutarch also describes the relationships as chaste, and states that it was as unthinkable for a lover to sexually consummate a relationship with his beloved as for a father to do so with his own son.[73] Aelian relates that in Sparta, for a man to not have a youth for a lover was considered a deficiency in character, and he was punished for not making another as good as he was himself, despite his excellence.[74] But Aelian also says that if any couple succumbed to temptation and indulged in carnal relations, they would have to redeem the affront to the honor of Sparta by either going into exile or taking their own lives.[75] The lover was responsible for the boy's training.[citation needed] Pederasty and military training were intimately connected in Sparta, as in many other cities. The Spartans, claims Athenaeus[76] sacrificed to Eros before every battle."

"Choice consists of the mental process of judging the merits of multiple options and selecting one of them." I would argue that few of the animals listed above are capable of "choosing", except for some of the higher primates.

-
Nope. Just trying to say that an ATC wearing through is the most probable failure mode, other than human stupidity.

Some of you dirt asses have used your ATCs until they were quite worn through from friction. Own it. That's the most probably failure mode, other than human stupidity.

	Yeah, unions are for SUCKERS.

I assume you are referencing Rand. I pretty much took away from her book (Atlas Shrugged) that she is essentially anti-liberal. These de-regulations and tax cuts are essentially libertarian- quite Rand. She is against people who refuse to carry their own weight-hence the phrase "looters". For instance- if you deregulate business- we will have a more robust free market economy. Letting the rich keep their money is simply a way of rewarding hard work. So, maybe change the reference. Thank you for summarizing the report you had to write on a "grown up" book. Ayn Rand was a cunt. Nothing she wrote has any value as anything other that fiction. If you read it for more than that you're a dipshit. The last 100 pages of Atlas Shrugged was drivel I didn't even read. Interesting tale to that point, though. Kind of like having a job interview with a businessman, until you find out his business is Amway. Then you want to punch him in the face.

Native Americans weren't even considered considered to be human by the founding fathers. At least slaves got to be 3/5 human. Read Dee Brown's Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee for a full account of our other National Shame.

And now, the REST of the story... "It must be noted that about 75 percent of those arrested on suspicion of crimes after the verdict Thursday were from outside of Oakland, according to Police Chief Anthony Batts. Many of them are anarchists. From their alleged actions, it is difficult to believe that they were interested in the case, or, for that matter, the city of Oakland." Hey Rob, you still standing behind your moral outrage?
