  1. "Beckey Route" oops, didn't read your post carefully... is there a Beckey Pillar or Traverse of Beckey anywhere?
  2. My fiancee wants an Appalachain dulcimer to add to her music teacher's instrument collection... Anybody know where I might find such an obscure instrument in Seattle, or what would be a reputable brand to get online?
  3. I like mine, it's a good mix of giving you the option of totally manual, while still being user friendly and relatively inexpensive. http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=183&modelid=14117
  4. only if it can be reached by public transit dirty post editor
  5. oh, I thought he was being serious my resume? I've been a high school janitor since 'Nam and I'm afraid of anything that starts with e-
  6. is that some sort of requirement to post? where do I take it? I google searched and couldn't find what it was.

  13. did you miss a few keys there? I think you meant "owned" right? at least spell correctly when you're talking smack about kevbone
  14. was that an underhanded slam on Jens & Loren?
  15. I was wondering if you all knew of other places online that your average Washington climber may post lost and found info? I want to find that stupid shoe and would hate to have it found but just never see the lost & found ad b/c it's on a different website. Thanks!
  16. Also have old Trango S, seems durable so far, not waterproof. Would love the new Gore Tex Trango S, and would not hesitate to pay full price b/c I love them so!
  17. yeah, but they don't give out very many
  18. Not the best day-trip option b/c of driving distance, but certainly do-able in a day... Ingalls Lake from the Esmerelda Basin TH. You're guaranteed to see goats near Ingalls Pass, and you can get within 5 feet of them if you give them a little treat... (this means start peeing after you've spotted one and it will come lick it up as you're still going - just do it on a rock so they don't dig up the vegetation).
  19. Are you referring to me? did you have to ask?
  20. BUmp' friendly weekend reminder
  21. I've never used anything remotely close to being as good as Coppertone Sport, SPF 48 or higher. Non-greasy as they come, really strong protection, lasts forever on me. I put this stuff on once at around 10am & that's it for the day.
  22. ok, done now _____________________________ This TR now complies with regulations, given the recent addition of reasonable stoke pictures and reporting on the availability of snow on route Edited by Moses! (1 second ago)
  23. I've always been peeved by tickets while passing, though I haven't had one yet. Does the law really say anything about a "need" to pass? I know the law DOES condone speeding to pass on a 2-lane road. I also know sometimes people speed up just when you pass them, so a cop might think you're passing unnecessarily but you're really passing a jerk who used to be going slow and just sped up. What to do?
  24. As long as it's not super cold out, I wear a pair of ankle-high Nike dri-fit anti-blister socks next to my skin, and put a cool-max liner over the top. You get the benefit of the two-sock system without the overkill on warmth and size (both are very thin layers). It fills about the same space as a mid-weight wool sock. I have never gotten a blister with this combo, ever. I tried to find the Nike socks I own, but I think they're discontinued. Maybe this is similar???
