  1. mods, are you going to let this lousy commie punk vomit all over us?
  2. oh, that wasn't a joke...
  3. Honestly, where is this even possible? My gear-buying policy is to buy what I need when I need it. Don't have junk I don't use, and price pain is less if I "need" it. Wait til you go on a climb where you forsee this as a possible situation before you go out buying something ridiculous.
  4. If you don't have anything positive to say, don't say anything at all.
  5. somehow I knew that was coming

that's the FIRST warning sign to me. i'd only ever do business with someone here if I knew them as a person or knew that they were well known in a legit circle of friends.
  10. that's something to moan about?
  11. this seems like a good time to again lament the advent of high-bandwidth digital service. i never get service anymore in places my old phone used to do just fine.
  12. Actually I've heard a few stories about the VA, but that's beside the point. I'm one conservative who's more than willing to consider this direction.
  13. There's no getting around that fact. That alone does make me wonder if we'd be better of as a society by nationalizing health care. The fewer costs involved in a doctor visit, the cheaper the service. I do fear a little for the proven ability of the government to waste money and lose that benefit, but hey, who knows. This is about math, and it doesn't take a genius to deduce that the more middlemen you have making profits, the more society as a whole pays for the service, one way or another.
  14. I know some hard working people
  15. Looks like I missed your 10k post celebration, arch. congrats!
  16. OK, two things. First, discussions on this board can literally begin with any given topic and end on something completely unrelated. Second, shut up, nobody reads your posts anyway.
  17. there is only one beer
  18. exactly. "You must give up your excesses becuase I said so, but I earned the right to live excessively!" Yes, archy, everyone has the right to make different decisions about what's acceptible in this country, but he's saying "do as I say, not as I do."
  19. Oh yeah, the title of the article is: Edwards: Americans should sacrifice their SUVs What, they didn't start from nothing and work hard for their SUV's? What a poser.
  20. Sounds like something a good Republican would say. I'm sure it's all a cozy 72 degrees all year long too. What a model citizen. The world would truly be a better place if everyone lived as extravagantly as their wallet allowed. Thanks, Mr. Edwards, for being a leader and showing the world what America is all about. Anybody can squander resources like a true American if they just work for it. http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/08/29/edwards.kucinich.ap/index.html To be fair though, I would be real curious to know what nobody's talking about... how do all the other candidates live? How big is McCain's house? Clinton's vehicle? Romney's extended Mormon family?
  21. France? Really? You do realize that you have to have a big stick up your butt to live in France, right?
  22. Yeah, and Weezer too!
  23. Maybe not overly used, but it deserves to be... __________________________________________________ Edited by Dick Butkus (yesterday at 10:25 PM ) OK, I've had enough of this thread
  24. Dude! That was the biggest glut of drool-worthy pics I've seen in a long time.
