This is my initial attempt at trying to record some temps around lillooet to get a better picture of the temps for ice climbing. For now I have to manually record them beacause the past data is not available to the public. I am working on this with some friends at EC and BC Hydro to try and get the full 24 hour set each day. I am able to record from 10 am-6pm mon-fri. I think you should be able to interpolate overnight temps by looking at the morning and evening temps. I have Cayoosh summit 1300m, Rambles are at 1000m I have Carpenter Lake, which lies at the end of the Bridge River climbs Jack Ass is the Final one and may help with the Fraser Canyon Climbs. Well I hope not, I started recording day time temps for 3 weather stations that only show current conditions (no past data available..yet). One station is at the cayoosh summit, near the rambles, another is in the bridge river, and the third is the jackass summit, fraser canyon climbs. I put them in excel and had a daytime high graph so people could have an idea of day time highs besides just the lillooet station. I thought I could post them at the end of each week...people may or may not find it useful.. So tried just copy and paste the graph to a word doc. then upload...but didnt work Cheers

Hanging out on the Yukon/BC border..gettin no where thanks to our SW jet stream..the Polar jet is carrying it through NE BC and grabbing all the other cold air over NWT and freezing the rest of Canada..more of a typical el nino flow for the PNW

Table Vice and a claw hammer worked like a charm, had both done in less than 5 minutes, you just need to orient the front bail so the notch will slide out of the hole and you just pry it off.

WEll, I emailed Grivel North America about the issue and they actually emailed me back with instructions on how to do it, then they emailed me again and wanted to make sure I was able to accomplish it!! Awesome customer service!! So if your havin problems just give them a shout

Not So Burly, so suprised me as well, and after looking at the photo's wow so much ice fell off. While walking in, there was quite a bit of rockfall right down to the creek bed Red wall: ya looked nice and blue from not so burly although the column pitch was looking awfully thin but we had no binocs. Twilight tiers: not even close to the amount of ice on it last weekend. Capricorn and Jade: still there but white and sunny. Shriek: looked like somthing fell off up high. Silk Worm: Mostly gone Silk Degree's: gone Gift: First pitch non existant, the next 1 or two pitches are missing sections but the upper flow is big and blue I dont have my book, but the stuff just to the right and down from night n gale was missing sections. not sure about black bird,or new leash, ill look in the book tonight and see if I cant place some names to the ice I saw. To me it looked like something fell of just to the left of the main flow of shreddie compared to last weekend. Also Mile-o is booked this weekend for hockey tournaments, same for 4 pines. As of Saturday there were a few single rooms available and some cots for this weekend. Also Reynolds restaurant is closed this weekend so the only place to eat breakfast is A&W. Dinner spots may be hard to come by as well, there was a small tourny this weekend and Dina's was packed full. Next weekend is the last of any tournaments in February. For the most part I dont think anything on the latest duffey report survived the heat wave. I climbed on Sgt pepper, very very wet and it got partially destroyed by a huge avalanche down its face(maybe note that in your guide)it was muddy lower down and falling off higher up. Everything in lillooet town area has fallen down. I was in the bridge for a look see at Night n Gale, which surprsingly had not had the same avalanche cylce and was still a tad buried. Old Dogs had a partial collapse, steristrip was looking good but very wet. Not so Burly has had its top fall off, the picture on west coast ice where Bob is climbing is gone, you can walk off right below this though for 30 m of grade 2 climbing, although it did have holes. Looking at the temps in lillooet past 24 and what it felt like on the duffey and I think its warmer on the duffey than lilloet..

Did it with a claw hammer, pry bar and a table vise...actually was quite easy once I had the right tools thanks everyone
