I took my last Cipro tablet this morning. Had an intestinal bacteria. LiquiPoop for 6 days. I've had Giardia twice over the years. Giardia never gave me diarhea. Instead, I just have frequent bm's, a constant vague feeling of impending nausea, and depression... which goes away immediately after I take antibiotics and get rid of it. But I still drink mountain water --selectively.

Have you guys heard of the revolving peanut butter baited beer can strung over a bucket full of water mouse trap? Works like a charm. I killed about a dozen in the Whatcom Pass ranger camp one night about 18 years ago. Mice can't get the bait and the bucket can accomodate many mice carcasses. Skitter, skitter,"Squeak!" -splash.

I read Blue Highways, and the whole way through I tried to like it, but failed. Then someone gave me River Horse. What a horribly boring book. "We started out and motored along. (Insert vague observation about changing industrial landscape viewed from the perspective of a boater here.) Then we found a place to tie up the boat and went ashore to drink beer with dinner."
