Why do they have to re-record perfectly good songs...and perfectly good movies for that matter? I personally love the original Parent Trap but my daugher digs the remake. I guess it's a generational thing.

He's correct in saying that there is virtually NO snow on Lahar. Many of the activities of local snowmobilers have been suspended due to lack of snow - Lahar is one of their favorite spots. Also, snowmobile races on Mt. Adams were cancelled for this weekend. Privately, I'm celebrating.

Unfortunately you have to take it back to REI or where ever you bought it so that they can send it in to repair for new battery. You can't do it yourself from what I understand. Mine is due soon too.

I have the Nike ACG Ascent watch with altimeter and I like it a lot. Yes, I have to re-calibrate altitude daily if I want accuracy but as far as following my increase in altitude along the way, if I'm on a hike for example, it seems pretty accurate. From what I understand, no altimeter is 100% accurate unless you get a GPS.

he's definitely one of a kind that's for sure. He just like to say he's been places where he hasn't to get everyone going.
