  1. Quite the summer this is turning out to be for all you guys! It’s like the mid 2000s all over again!! It’s great to see “my work” become appreciate it after all these years. I had a feeling it would, I just didn’t think it would take this long. Just everybody stay away from that route I did On Logan, and we will all be OK!
  2. Yes! Yet another great adventure wow. I’m almost completely out of ideas now! I am saving one idea though for myself and Mike Layton though. The “Golden Age of Cascades Climbing “ is still going on! Congratulations again you guys.
  3. Well done and what a a strong team you two are! Great to see you two even try it after P+J let some air out of the sails. It was great to have you as well as pj over for dinner too! Anyone that climbs that rig gets a free dinner at my place! The Pole is pretty special place, hope it gets even more traffic.
  4. Great report you guys! You’ll be interested to know that just a couple of days after your attempt, my friends Sam and Lani were able to do The Ridge and the Pole. They found one of your cams and used it extensively. Lani has started a report on Instagram. Again great work up there I’m glad you have your priorities right, Wayne
  5. Wow, I can’t believe I overlooked replying to this amazing trip report! It must’ve skipped my mind somehow. What an amazing effort you to put in to my big sand bag. As I write this U2 are in the Karakoram and I haven’t heard anything for weeks. My heart is out there with you once again! Love Wayne
  6. Nice work! Love it
  7. My own conjecture would be that Mark was both inspired by our cascade climbers reports, and a bit put off by the self-promotion media that we rolled at the time? Being one of the few solo climbers att, I wanted to be real careful how I presented the game and not pull any punches with how different and risky it can be. Yes I romanticized it, and that game can be rewarding af, but it becomes pretty obvious quick that the stakes are all in. I wish I could have met him, and I recently ran across Brett, but didn’t want to assert my need to connect at the time. It’s pretty easy to see being friends with either of them. It’s so cool that we have a era frozen in time that we can pass on to future generations!
  8. Word is, the black spider is going off!
  9. Thanks for spelling out with this traverse is really like. People were so in love with it, that when I did it I didn’t want to pop that bubble, but I had nothing good to say about it other than the north ridge Stuart is always really cool.
  10. You made even the shwack sound fun, nice work!
  11. Yes, they should have a report up soon! The only caveat is they did not summit the pole of remoteness but they are the first people to do the whole ridge in one day! Cheers to the conquerors!

  16. First, I wish to nominate this TR for "Best of CC.com". Secondly, what an outstanding trip and logistics op as well! Now, you climbed Banks out. Full Stop. holy shit, doing more routes a week and a half, than my 9 years driving out there. Congrats, and thanks for giving us Zenith that day. I get bummed out at the end of ice season, You guys were probably depressed after that run was over. Cheers Wayne
  17. Thanks for the amazing report! You said doing a blog would be too much work!? Ha! Million dollar trip report. I had hoped that this climb would get into the minds of people here, it was so deserving, worthy, and has all of the elements of true, and lasting adventure. This is one of only a couple of personal new route/traverses that I felt worthy of proclaiming (too?) loudly. Way to see it fit into your dreams, and play a part in your parties amazing trajectory and story!
