About something along the ivy line. Ivy is considered a weed in Portland...they grow fast..and cling and climb to trees amazingly fast. "Hedera helix" is the latin name for English Ivy. or Kudzu. This stuff is fast, fast, fast ivy.

interesting. I was rescued....in Washington....by a crew aboard a blackhawk helicopter in the middle of the night. They used night vision goggles lowering a litter to get to me where I was stuck between two large rock towers on a rocky ridgeline. Seriously. This was before the Iraq war. The blackhawk came out of the Yakima Training Base where they are trained for medical extractions. After the war, I think all blackhawks had to come out of Oregon becuase there were no more blackhawks in Washington...they got shipped to the war. I guess you could have this rescue lady get on board a blackhawk in Oregon and travel to Washington to conduct a rescue. Or that might be reaching too far.

I saw one grizzly with a cub in a meadow off of a trail south of Joe Mills Mountain in the Pesayten about 1996 over Memorial Day weekend. Could not get a photograph. I was too scared. I ran instead--I panicked. My accidental presence scared her and her cub too. I looked back and she stood up. She was tall. That was when my heart fell into my ass.

Even though I am employed, my health insurance payment has gone up every year since 1992....and about the same rate every year. I see no real changes. It is easy to blame one persone who is currently in office.

Um, isn't REI a Co-op? technically, yes. Ummm...technically no. REI = Recreational Equipment INCORPORATED. It is a corporation that gives dividends. Look it up. And it has been this way for a long time.

its not so scary when you trust those jeep drivers who have driven that section many times. I will say it is more scary when two jeeps meet going opposite directions in precarious points. Oi!

I get not being motivated too! My trick is to get involved with more people. Climbing seems to be more fun for me when I am with people....and a new route to me is something that I have not done...doesn't always have to be a FA.

These people put their life on the line for American citizens--and they do it by their own choice. I never understood why you would stop someone from serving becuase of sexual orientation. Like I said these people want to serve, and we won't let them becuase of sexual orientation? I heard it is morale...but I don't know.

I don't get some conservative people. They believe in the philosophy of less government regulation. Then why do some conservatives want government regulation for marriage? I just don't know how you reconcile your own personal philosophy with that one. I thought this is one easy government regulation just to throw out. It would mean more freedom for people to choose. I guess.
