billbob Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Congratulations Drew (and dad !!!) Pics ?? Quote
billcoe Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Congrats for sure, thats a huge accomplishment for sure!. For me, there's nothing quite like climbing with your kid: got any pictures to punctuate the story? My son last November, home from college for Thanksgiving in the pic below topping out on the FA of the route Opdycke named "Child Abuse" LOL. I'm still cleaning the blackberry bushes out of it, check out under his feet. Bring some pics when you have a moment. Quote
Dane Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Congrads to the entire family! http://www.youtube.com/user/USACLIMBINGABS#p/a/u/0/ngPOWswS_nM Quote
matt_warfield Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 My congrats as well as I have seen him in action. However, he did fall asleep during the Justin Sjong slideshow so he still needs training on the "total" climbing experience. Quote
olyclimber Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Congrats to both of you! Pretty awesome stuff. Quote
DCramer Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 (edited) Nice! Last time I talked to Drew I was inspired by his enthusiasm. Although I can remember when you were the young kid on the block! Edited February 16, 2010 by DCramer Quote
Sherri Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 Sounds like all that practice on City Park paid off. Congrats! Quote

RuMR Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 totally agree...he's actually a great crack climber...sick actually...i'd love to unleash him at the creek... Quote
jfs1978 Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 One more shout out for a kid that can rip it up outside ... not just a plastic monkey (as impressive as that form of gymnastics may sometimes be). Watched a 5.13 redpoint go down at Smith - count me impressed. Be proud RuMR. Quote
Kimmo Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 nice work, drew! must be the finn in ya. Quote
