tvashtarkatena Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 it'd be nice if there were a little more class here. i guess it is trickle down uniting. anyway - congrats to obama et al.... let's hope it all goes well. You might start the trend by not beginning every post with an insult. Ready, set, go.... Quote
Fairweather Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Fairweather will now be making a statement: Best wishes to Obama. His past socialist leanings notwithstanding, he seems like a good man. I hope he can keep his democratic congress on the task of financial and security issues and away from the social issues that cost Clinton his congress in 1994. We'll see. While it's a relief that TTK and Prole didn't take my wagers, I will offer this as a consolation prize: Obama is now the president of The United States, and he is my president too. Hasta pronto. Hell there got to be some kind of 12 step program for Rightwing Asshats out there? Maybe send him a get well soon card or a Fruitcake?? Or at least call he to say sorry about your luck,if he hasn't ripped the phone cord out of the wall and burned his keyboard. Edited November 5, 2008 by pc313 Quote

billcoe Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 channeling a fat out of touch drunk? try someone more in tune with politics. Please reconsider that Hugh, as I think you may have just opened the door to an unrelenting barrage of Palin quotes. Winston Churchill has stood the test of time. ...................hmmm...............here: lets see it in action: "I can see Russia from my house!" See what I'm talkin' about there? Quote
Hugh Conway Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Winston Churchill has stood the test of time yes, he produced some great witticisms. As a politician and manager he was pathetically, and consistantly, out of touch. The butcher of Gallipoli, his complete inability to understand the Partition of India, and on, and on. There's a reason he lost the general election in 1945 Quote

ashw_justin Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 McCain's concession speech was good right up until... I think McCain's concession speech was good, right up until the beligerent horde before him started booing and jeering at the mention of their new president and vice president. In contrast, Obama's mention of McCain was met with cheers. Final verdict on which side was the dark side in the election, as if it weren't already apparent. Quote
