Great thread.

Anybody see any screaming deals on 80meter ropes? 70m ropes?

---------

The only time me or any of my buds use 10mm plus ropes is in Yosemite.

Why are the skinny ropes often way more expensive when they are made off the same spool of thread at the same factory? I've seen 10.5 fatties for 60 bucks.

Perhaps you should pose this question to our resident retail expert, JohnDavidJR? As THE foremost expert in this field, he knows more about retail values than any other poster here, ever. I bet MalWart makes a functionally similar model you can find in the hardware dept, for about $20.

Add it to your cart and the price drops to 87.93. Seems to be unannounced (at the moment at least) 20% off 1 item in the outlet, plus free shipping if you're a member. Seems like a pretty sweet deal.

Unannounced?!?

There's a big banner at the top of their home page and they sent out email this morning with it in the subject line.

Do you need it tattooed on your forehead?
