Hey, we only got lost four times. I'm getting better.

picked wrong day for alpine, got up around 1:30 am, snow not frozen at 2:30 am, back to bed aroud 3:30 am, bouldering at 2pm.

I was in Menroe this weekend visiting family. Hung out with my friend Brad and his family. They tried to climb in Index on Sunday, but it rained. Lame.

That's funny. It didn't rain at the Index that I was at yesterday.

 

p.s. For those interested, Gorilla My Dreams is wet at the beginning, but climbable. Anybody know what the cleaned, dry, white face to the right of GMD is? It has a directional bolt at the top for toproping, but no lead bolts. Probably 5.12?

 

The Winkie-Dinkie cliff is pretty neat. The route on the far left (finger crack to chimney) is overgrown with moss+ferns and very wet which is too bad. Looks like it would be a really fun climb. The 5.9ish climb to the left of GMD was cool.

My big weekend involved hiking to the top of Beacon Rock. Not much you can do with a bad shoulder, but at least I got high.

Bailed off the Fuher Finger due to bad weather on Saturday. Another group in front of us also turned around at about 12K. The skiing was good.

Finished my 8-dy work week. Heading out tomorrow for 2 1/2 days of bouldering and mountain biking at Buena Vista. Not much more you can do when your belay slave... er I mean wife is in India.
