Jens
What's the speed record for Liberty Crack on Liberty Bell? Anyone know? Jens
layton
The fastest climber on Liberty Crack is the one having the shortest amount of fun...but the most too!

Choada_Boy
DANGER DANGER!! cc dont like no fast climbin stuff! Â We topped out from Camp V in only 6 hours, then descended our fixed lines to Camp II. By then we were tapped so we spent the night and descended to Base Camp the next day. All ropes are still in place for this season. You're welcome!
Cobra_Commander
we ran out of food at the rotten block after about 3 days of hard climbing. Fortunately the rotten block was there, because it is quite edible if you wash it down with some water. We carried a pick axe with us to chop off bite-sized portions. Jake_Gano
Hans Florine gave a slideshow here a few years back where he claimed a very fast time on it... 4 hrs? Less? My memory fails me. He has a website, I'm sure he'd answer an email if you dropped him one.

He has a website, I'm sure he'd answer an email if you dropped him one. 4 hours would be pretty slow for a speed ascent of LC, given that the Nose--which is three times the length and much more sustained--has been climbed in under 3 hours. sill
I'd say under three hours would be well within the realm of possibilities. I know of one party that did it in under 4. If you're dialed with short fixing and willing to simul climb it goes pretty fast, even for mortals. Edited January 24, 2007 by sill

matt_warfield
Â ummmm but he's climbed the nose like a million times already and has it wired, whereas LC would have been onsight? Â According to his web site, he has climbed the Nose 62 times. But that's enough to have it ruthlessly wired. I'll still bet he could do LC really fast as could many other Yosem-ites
Jens
LC would go under 3 hours for sure.

John Frieh
The real deal would be to do LC and TRL in under 24 hours... no fixing or anything. Easy cheesy for the yosemite kids but it would be cool to see 2 local kids do it first.
