111 Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Through various trips I have come to notice that different climbing areas seem to have their own beer. Smith is the place I am most aquainted with and the sponsored beer there seems to be PBR or Old E. Do your areas have their own beer? (midwest crags dont count due to the identical nature of all beer there) Quote
dalius Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 You say Smith has PBR and OldE? What about the brewery in Bend? PBR and OldE are just about as midwest as beers come. By your reasoning, what makes Smiffy so different? Quote
MattStan Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Rifle: Sutter Home Actually, it's anything from Avery Brewing. Adam Avery, the brewmaster and owner, is a regular out there. Quote
archenemy Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 PBR is the new choice of Yuppies who pretend like they have been around forever and they are roughing it. Homebrew is the way to go. Quote
DirtyHarry Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Pabst is so passe. Its all about the Czech Pilsner these days. Nice touque, by the way. Quote
eric8 Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I'm more of a fan of the handme down down jacket with the ascent patch. I'm just trying to pretend like I have been around forever and I am roughing it. Quote

PullinFool Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 That's the one for Hueco. Now shouldn't you be doing some climbing in RR instead of spraying? Quote

olyclimber Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 I actually have imported beer from WA when going down to Utah for extended trips. Got to have that 5+ content, or it just isn't real beer. Quote
