griz Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 It's not really funny... but it is,too. http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/02/12/cheney.ap/index.html Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Probably figured that he's gotten away with everything else so far; might as well "cap" things off with a, er, "bang." "Open season, motherfucker! 'Cause I'm Dick Cheney, bitch!" Quote
ZimZam Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 See what happens when dick's get their hands on a gun. "Hi, I'm the NRA." Quote
griz Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 I think the hunting story is just a cover up for what really happened... Lord Cheney tried to turn the good Jedi Harry to the Dark Side. Jedi Harry refused and a great battle ensued. ... but Good Jedi Harry was no match for Lord Cheney and his minions...and was shot in the end. Quote
EWolfe Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 They were Quayle-hunting? Maybe Dan was shooting back. Quote
Dru Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 If Cheney was shot in the head, would anyone notice? Quote
griz Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 The story gets darker...this just off the wire... Cheney posing with his trophy lawyer... Quote
TerminatorX Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Nice to see they're already blaming the victim . . . Quote
marylou Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 If Cheney was shot in the head, would anyone notice? Oh yes, he's not the stupid one, he's the crafty one. (See spin on it being the victim's fault for details) Quote
Dru Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 If he had a birthmark on his dome he could pretend to be Gorby. Quote
cj001f Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Lord Cheney And apt turn of phrase for the man who likes to shoot 50+ phaesants at a time in driven canned hunts. Quote
underworld Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 it's better than shooting 50+ peasants Quote
scratchandsniff Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Guy probably was takin trash about how great Hillary was and how much he wanted to bang her and how she'd be an awesome pres.....an ...an ...... look what happens. See...? Me to. I'd bang her. I'm getting a bone just thinking of it. Quote
DirtyHarry Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Shoot first, maybe ask some questions, er ... later. I don't know if Cheney's hunting strategy is an extension of his foreign policy, or vice-versa? Quote
Dechristo Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 A tempest in a teacup. I am pissed that the shooting of lawyers is allowed only to high government officials. Quote
DirtyHarry Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 I can't believe it took this long for someone to make a lawyer joke. Quote
TerminatorX Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 To borrow a line from Tricky Dick . . . "When the [vice] president does it, its not illegal" Quote
Stefan Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Meanwhile under the White House administration: On Monday, Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta chided Spears as "irresponsible" for driving with her baby son on her lap and announced a new initiative to improve child car seat safety. Ummm...tell me the priorities here? We did not know the accident happened on Saturday, but somebody in the White House admin tells us their opinion on Britney and we know that on the same day? Quote
KFed Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Yo, Stefan, back up off my cash flow! Sure she's stupid, hell, she married me! But everyone knows that Britney News travels faster than light! My girl got it goin on! Quote
EWolfe Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Neither of them had hunting tags at the time of the incident. Quote
griz Posted February 14, 2006 Author Posted February 14, 2006 It's not as bad as that but yeah, pretty funny and not good, for sure... from the NY times: "In a statement on Monday night, Mr. Cheney's office said a member of his staff had asked the Parks and Wildlife Department for all of the necessary permits for the vice president to go quail hunting in Texas and had paid $140. But, the statement said, the staff member was not informed of the need for an additional stamp, costing $7, to allow hunting of upland game birds. It said Mr. Cheney has now sent a $7 check to the department." In some ways, some states are pretty loose w/ laws about hunting/fishing on private property too. Public land is a different story though. Quote
