tomtom Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 #7 is in the bag with another world class performance. Quote
murraysovereign Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 Chirac ought to be waiting at the finish line to present him with a Legion d'Honneur. Hell, if Jerry Lewis can get one, Lance should get two. Quote
EWolfe Posted July 23, 2005 Posted July 23, 2005 If my heart were 1/3 bigger than everyone else's, I'd probably be doing better in the mountains, too! Â What an amazing run, though. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 SWEET! Don't forget about the other Americans that did well this year. Watch out Euros, wer'e gona get ya! Quote
larrythellama Posted July 24, 2005 Posted July 24, 2005 one thing i learned about lance is that he really does not ride the professional circuit, just pretty much trains for the tour and few other races. Quote
Szyjakowski Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 yes, the unfortunate thing is lance is a tdf snob. still does not diminish the fact that he won 7 in a row. will be a record for years to come. Quote
mec Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 yes, the unfortunate thing is lance is a tdf snob. still does not diminish the fact that he won 7 in a row. will be a record for years to come. Â yeah, for at least 7 years. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 If my heart were 1/3 bigger than everyone else's, I'd probably be doing better in the mountains, too! he wasn't born that way. you too can grow a huge heart. Quote
Dechristo Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Yeah, and drugs will help you do it. Â Naw, that's a myth... Â ...I've been tryin' it for most of my life and it hasn't worked for me. Quote
JoshK Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 one thing i learned about lance is that he really does not ride the professional circuit, just pretty much trains for the tour and few other races. Â Seems like the right strategy to me. It sort of equates to the Yankees doing just all right in the season only to perform their best (at least traditionally) in the post-season. If the other riders think this gives him such an advantage maybe they should considering doing it themselves. Quote
j_b Posted July 26, 2005 Posted July 26, 2005 Lance is great! However, the tdf alone wouldn't sustain the pro circuit. Quote

yeah, for at least 7 years. I do not think anyone currently riding pro is in the same league as lance. this record will go on for many years... oh, what do i care anywayS Quote

Stonehead Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 "Funding is tough to come by these days," he says. "The biggest downside to a war in Iraq is what you could do with that money. What does a war in Iraq cost a week? A billion? Maybe a billion a day? The budget for the National Cancer Institute is four billion. That has to change. It needs to become a priority again. Â "Polls say people are much more afraid of cancer than of a plane flying into their house or a bomb or any other form of terrorism. It is a priority for the American public." Â Article--Fighting cancer is new mission for Armstrong Quote
Camilo Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 The biggest downside to a war in Iraq is what you could do with that money That's funny, I always thought the biggest downside was all the people dying. Quote

G-spotter Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Yeah, and drugs will help you do it. Â This Dru guy is pretty smart. Way back in 2005, and even before that, he was pointing out that Lance was on drugs, while y'all were claiming Lance was doing it through hard work. Quote
Pete_H Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Wonder what ever happened to Dru? Last I heard he was fighting a nasty case of the clap he contracted from a 350 lb transvestite hooker. Hope he got that cleared up. Quote
