layton Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Now i'm perfectly able to get dates myself and have been doing so... but the problem is the last few have been SO uninspiring, that i am almost convinced that portland girls are seriously BLAH - no chemistry. one was a total coke-head, that was interesting for sure. feel free to flame away, i obviously don't care. but if you can hook a brotha up and to help rekindle that magic feeling, please do so! selkirk Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Comes with own inflatable sheep! Right up your (er her?)alley! Quote
Steddy Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 HOT OR NOT and show me the girlz from pdx! Quote
JayB Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 "one was a total coke-head, that was interesting for sure." How did this tidbit emerge in the context of a first date? Doesn't seem like something you would necessarily highlight if you were trying to put your best foot forward.... Quote
specialed Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Well Mike, dating is sure like a box of chocolates. The best thing is when you can bring them home and put them in a sound proof metal box and then bring them out weeks later and rub them all over your naked body. Quote
layton Posted February 25, 2005 Author Posted February 25, 2005 that little tidbit wasn't brought about till well after the 1st date...i wondered why she talked sooo much Quote
bunglehead Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Coke whores are scum. White drugs period are stooopid. Happened to me too. Didn't find out until well after the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc, date. Quote
Winter Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Check out the New Copper Penny. Or Sassy's. Both excellent places to find a date. Or the Ace of Hearts. The possibilities are endless in this town. Quote
layton Posted February 25, 2005 Author Posted February 25, 2005 i've always found going to a bar (or anywhere) with the intention of getting laid always to be a miserable experience, not worth the price of admission so to speak. I only do things b/c I enjoy them Quote
specialed Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 At least she didn't pawn your gear... Reminds me of the Beastie Boys song ... "She's Crazy." Quote
specialed Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 . I only do things b/c I enjoy them Then how in the fuck do you manage to mountain climb? Quote
Dru Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 b/c he gets to spoon with Necro and he enjoys that. Quote
John Frieh Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 portland girls are seriously BLAH You're looking in the wrong places. Quote
Dru Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 portland girls are seriously BLAH You're looking in the wrong places. I think NOLSe means you should be looking at the PDX men. Some of them know a lot about windshirts. Quote
Winter Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Ok ok in all seriousness then you need to go to yoga class. Yoga class is still the undefeated unanimous #1 place to meet hotties in this town. If you can't get laid in yoga class then hang it up and head for Sassy's. Quote
rbw1966 Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Maybe the Silverado is more your style? A female friend once bestowed this advice on a friend: "A hungry man should never go shopping." Which, of course, means that you have to get past the fact that you ARE in fact starving. Obviously this forum is shot as a venue for you to score from but perhaps you should try some other board and try to tone down the desperation. For instance, maybe you could post to Craigslist that you are looking for a running partner? I take it that there are no hotties in any of your classes? What about hosting a party and asking your friends to invite as many women as possible? For example, before I was married I used to hold an annual cocktail party where invitees were asked to wear 'vintage' formal attire (vintage was very liberally defined). Chicks LOVE a reason to get dressed up and it was a lot of fun. Good luck, Mike! Quote
RuMR Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 portland girls are seriously BLAH You're looking in the wrong places. oh boy...here we go again Quote

RuMR Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 ...plus, it helps to be wearing the ol' sheepskin "i take it in the rear" vest when out trolling... Quote
JayB Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Isn't it well known amongst chicks that the only guys who show up for classes that mostly chicks are into (cooking classes, yoga classes, etc) that aren't gay - are dudes looking for dates? I have yet to hear of any guy who attends these sort of classes without ulterior motives. Ask them this question in front of women and they'll feign being offended and swear that they have a deep, abiding, and profound interest in Postmodern Quilting but if you catch them in unguarded moments when there's no ladies around, then the story is quite different. "Dude - you should see some of the chicks in the postmodern quilting course I'm taking...." Quote
Dru Posted February 25, 2005 Posted February 25, 2005 Don't forget the ballroom dancing classes. Or nursing school for that matter. Quote

That's a problem? If your interested in meeting a date that's good - but desperation women can sense a mile off (and that's bad). Quote
