mattp Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I think you are right, cc.com is not really the place for that sort of thing to be a regular institution but there is nothing preventing Mr. Natural from sending a PM to his buddy Olyclimber and saying "Hey: here's my plan. Watch for my triumphant return post, OK?" It will work better if it is a one-on-one sort of arrangement and somebody is clearly responsible to follow through. I think we all should follow the SAME standards - those outlined in the descriptions of the forums. Quote
jon Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I want to see all ... administrators held to a higher standard. EXCUSE ME!? Quote
G-spotter Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 I am going to read the entire Nodder thread from beginning to end. Please alert SAR if I am not back by 0600 hours on Thursday. Quote
G-spotter Posted April 4, 2006 Posted April 4, 2006 phew! that was epic. I'll post a TR once the pics are developed. I may have set a new car to car speed record, though. Quote
dalius Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 I agree with Oly and Mattp. you can't rely on a bunch of sprayers keep track of your whereabouts. bad idea. Quote
Mr._Natural Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 That's a very good one, Mr. Natural! Blame it on CBS. Quote
dalius Posted April 13, 2006 Posted April 13, 2006 Alright. Now that there are Montana and Idaho forums, can you give California its own and make an International one as well? Quote
AlpineK Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 I want to see all moderators and administrators held to a higher standard. When people see these people occasionally flaunting the rules, they figure, "hey, why should I have to follow rules when they don't?" Hey CBS...Bite me Quote
catbirdseat Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Kurt, did you think I was referring to you? Quote
olyclimber Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 I want to see all ... administrators held to a higher standard. EXCUSE ME!? Jon, did you think CBS was referring to you? Quote
AlpineK Posted April 18, 2006 Posted April 18, 2006 Kurt, did you think I was referring to you? I don't care; I just hadn't paused to laugh at you for a while. Quote
RuMR Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 i wanna see a kids forum...its time this worthless site produced something of worth... Quote
kix Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 yeah! lets bring out the those little leaguer competitive combative parent mentalities! Quote
olyclimber Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 How about if we just post threads for people who have kids and want to climb with similiar in the partners forum (just specify it in your thread title). If we break it down too much, the next thing you know the men will be asking for their own forum apart from the women. Then the gay and lesbian crowd will speak up, and soon we'll all have our own private forums and not talk to one another. OK, so there is a little bit of hyberbole here, but you know what I'm talking about, right? Quote
John Frieh Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 Add a TR button to the Idaho and Montana forums and make sure to sync it up with the TR Index please Quote
olyclimber Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 i'm not sure what custom code Tim did, nor if he wants to fix those forums with this board, but it will be addressed in the new board software when we get to that. Quote
Blake Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 make it so that Sent PMs are saved by default? Quote
olyclimber Posted August 28, 2006 Posted August 28, 2006 new version of the board will replace PM with something callled "private topics"...basically it is like a thread that only you and the person you're "PM'ing" can see...so it will give you that by default Blake. Quote
