mattp Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 dberdinka: I didn't move it. I was asked in advance of the move, however, and I replied that I wasn't going to move it but if they wanted to do so I suppose there was a lot of spray there. Your beef is with those who turn an interesting discussion into a pissing match, not with me. I have volunteered to use the sheers on it so that it can be exported back, though. Quote
snoboy Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 trask said: Matt, quit sending your garbage climbing threads over here to spray. They fuck up the quality of this forum. Thanks for your cooperation, trask Dru and Layton discussing the upcoming event ... Yeah, but who's that on the right??? Muffy? Quote

Paco Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 JayB said: This was a cool thread - maybe someone could cut out the good bits and return them to the N. Cascades forum.... Yo moderators, can't we do what JayB said. Just edit/delete the bullshit posts and put this back in the N. Cascades forum. There is some good info here. Mattp - you're not trying to take attention away from the West Face of Sloan are you? Quote
To_The_Top Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 Yes Paco, we are trying..... Sorry to have caused this mess!! Don't blame mattp. Quote
allthumbs Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 If you have a good climbing thread going, with a bit of gnarliness rearing it's ugly head, why not moderate them immediately rather than shifting them over to spray where they inevitably get wasted? The mod. that did this should be keel hauled and flogged by naked women with feather boas. Quote
catbirdseat Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 I think it was a mistake to move this thread to spray. There was some good climbing talk going on despite the tripe that was added since crackbolter's request. I say delete all the crap and move it back. Quote

If I were, do you think I would I have handled it this way? Shipping something to spray or deleting a post is the #1 way to draw attention to anything these days, it seems. catbirdseat said: I think it was a mistake to move this thread to spray. Just about everybody agrees with you and the point has already been made. Unfortunately, niether TTT or I have the ability to do that until we get the attention of a spray moderator and this afternoon they have had other things to do but to log on to cc.com and respond immediately to somebody's whining that some moderator made a mistake. Once it is moved, there may be some lag time before we clean up all the BS and it reappears. Hold your horses. Quote
pms Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 what I want to know is, with all this attention how long will it stay unclimbed? Can someone make one of those fun polls? Quote

mattp Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 Actually, Paco, first the climb has to appear in Nelson's "Select Climbs" volume III before somebody can go up there and report that it is "in" Quote
chucK Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 OK check this shit out. I did it for you Catbird! Quote
skykilo Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 I would like to say I don't really think climbers are pussies. Climbers are the greatest, especially when they make a nice boot pack up something fun to ski. Peace be with you all Quote
layton Posted December 6, 2003 Author Posted December 6, 2003 And I'd like to be the first to thank the skiiers for, uhhmmm, well....., well, shit, just for getting outside and having fun. telemarkers can still blow me. Quote
HeadSpace Posted December 6, 2003 Posted December 6, 2003 hey crackbolter, I really think you've lost it. Quote
slaphappy Posted December 9, 2003 Posted December 9, 2003 Why, when we have one of the finest early season snow packs in years, do you folks insist on squabbling over a few wet drippy unformed mountain routes. Go make some turns! and Crackbolter... Quote
lancegranite Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 You cannot even get a good cup of coffee in Darrington, how can you expect to get any climbing done under such conditions? Quote
specialed Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Vintage cc.com when there used to be real discourse. Quote
