Dave_Schuldt Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 Are we ready for another BBQ? I suggest next week of the week after. Magnason was geat, but we could go elswhere. Wed ot Thurs so people who have other things going on on Tuse can make it. A longer notice would alow people to clear there schedules for the most important event of the year. Quote
carolyn Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 Speaking of bbq's, Im going to try and hijack this post in regards to whether or not there will be a fall rope up this year. Ive missed the past two by mear weeks. I actually wouldnt mind planning a trip out there around the time of the rope up. I know its early....just planting the seed. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted May 19, 2003 Author Posted May 19, 2003 (edited) HOW DARE YOU FUCK WITH MY THREAD!!!! Beck mentioned something about it a month ago. The 3rd weekend in October was fine last year. Send Beck a PM and see what he has in mind. Edited May 19, 2003 by Dave_Schuldt Quote
wayne Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 Carkeek is really cool idea , but I dont know about the drinking issue.I saw a sign near the playground covered picnic area that said no alcohol. Is there another area in the park that we could do it? Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted May 19, 2003 Author Posted May 19, 2003 Is there power for the slide show or does someone have a generator? Distel32 are you out there? Quote
Distel32 Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 yeah the lower picnic area with a small field is better, cops don't usually come down to the smaller area. No power that I know of, only a few picnic tables. Quote
icegirl Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 North end of Woodland Park has some REALLY nice covered BBQ areas... And the scenery is hard to beat... Easy parking and I did not see very much in the way of patrols... Quote

David_Parker Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Isn't there a beach somewhere so I can come by boat. What about Alki? Bug says he wants to go waterskiing. Bring your wet suits! Quote
To_The_Top Posted May 20, 2003 Posted May 20, 2003 Alki is always crawling with cops they park their van right in front of the area by the fire pits and bust people on a regular basis, if you want to boat I would suggest Carkeek park. TTT Quote
