  1. All these sweet pics make me want to do that climbing thing you guys are always talking about.....
  2. That is NOT! a stable geologic formation.
  3. Can't wait to get up in the hills and see the chaos. Unfortunately SR 542 is now blocked by a mudslide 250' wide and 6' deep! No access to eastern Whatcom County now. Ouch!
  4. tvash, that zombie post does it. I think it's time you went back to work.
  5. Lots of fat blue ice at sumallo bluffs while driving by today. Everything looked as in as I've ever seen it.
  6. The global warming has altered conditions so that some summers the snow slog is black ice and debris covered slabs. Via Ferrata is still ghey IMHO.
  7. Replace the skinny skis with some cut-off fatties and a Chariot works pretty well. Best to have grandma buy that stuff as it gets pretty $$$. While control is surprising good In all honesty the Chariot can be challenging when crossing (sidehilling) a slope. It definitely wants to tip over or pivot below you. This is not a recommended activity particularly by the mother of your children.

  9. Amazing Photos! Put it on the list!
  10. I'd say this picture completely exemplifies typical PNW ice climbing.
  11. The spray Blake. You contributed the spray.
  12. Nice Tick!
  13. Maybe after that fellowship he can be superintendant at Rainier. I bet that Longmire Gate would get opened a lot earlier with him in charge than it does now...

You right-wingers are funny. Time and time again you practically fall over each other in a rush to compare everyone else to Nazis.
  16. Approaching the sickness, Icicle Creek Road
  17. Good work Blake
  18. 4" of pow up there this morning above the Heliotrope Trailhead. Great for Xmas tree hunting, still looks like Roktober in the alpine.
  19. That's some straight up fucking madness.
  20. Awesome $%#*ing climb, but the fact of the matter is Rolf's TRs are always a bit less inspiring than his climbs.... So Wayne (or Rolf) do fill us in on all the epic attempts. There's got to be some good stories in there. And what's next? Heart of Darkness? The upper N Rib would be perfect for drytooling.
  21. yer just bitter Mike....am I'm just frustrated....
  22. Here's a pic of the Hogsback on the north side of Mt Baker (elevation 5400') from March 7th, 2005.
  23. PM sent for shoes.
