    Bristol and baby

You right-wingers are funny. Time and time again you practically fall over each other in a rush to compare everyone else to Nazis.
  2. Approaching the sickness, Icicle Creek Road
  3. Good work Blake
  4. 4" of pow up there this morning above the Heliotrope Trailhead. Great for Xmas tree hunting, still looks like Roktober in the alpine.
  5. That's some straight up fucking madness.
  6. Awesome $%#*ing climb, but the fact of the matter is Rolf's TRs are always a bit less inspiring than his climbs.... So Wayne (or Rolf) do fill us in on all the epic attempts. There's got to be some good stories in there. And what's next? Heart of Darkness? The upper N Rib would be perfect for drytooling.
  7. yer just bitter Mike....am I'm just frustrated....
  8. Here's a pic of the Hogsback on the north side of Mt Baker (elevation 5400') from March 7th, 2005.
  9. PM sent for shoes.
  10. The winter of 04/05 was warm and dry. I dug up the following from NWAC. "Overall the snowpack started slow and remained well below normal during the 2004-05 season.. This was generally the worst winter for snowfall since the 1980-1981 and 1976-1977 seasons." Baker didn't break 50" of snow until April. It was also the best conditions for alpine climbing I can recall. So get hyped for something else I guess....
  11. That would be correct. Maybe halfway between the NW Rib and Winnies Slide. Is it all fubared in the new red cag?
  12. Huts at Yang-yang, White Rock and Cub Lakes. Big stone huts with real beds, beer and ice cream.
  13. Huts would be sweet. Now your talking. Food service, linens and beer please.
  14. Picked this off of Supertopo. Amazing wall in the Netherlands. Photo taken from a kite. More here
  15. I find it hard to believe there is a system that works better than a Silent Partner. What a shame. Those things are a miracle of inventive genius. Supposedly the first prototype was a rope clove hitched around an empty wine bottle on a stick.
  16. The one thing everyone can agree on!
  17. That is a beautiful pic
  18. We're going to get Obama with the PIMP CANE. Joe Liberman isn't going to be able to sit for a week.
  19. "The tone of his perceptions is eerily reminiscent of that of blasphemous dingbats of the late 1940s in the sense that I have one itsy-bitsy problem with his fibs." Uhhh..WTF...is billcoe trying to say?
  20. But is he looking to get rid of it?
  21. Looking for anything that resembles a piton hammer with a snow/ice pick. One of those old Chouinard alpine hammers would be perfect (see pic below). But any sort of alpine hammer that's short and preferrably cheap would be great. Will see vigorous use. PM or email dberdinka AT gmail DOT com.
  22. What are the techiques and tools of choice for removing the stubborn roots of small trees that fill a crack for long distances? Squamish climbers must have come up with some pretty good tricks by now? Cordless reciprocating saw? Something else?
  23. funny money not accepted
