  1. Casinos are an interesting subject. In one class in college we spent a lecture discussing casinos most specifically roulette wheels. Obviously your chances of winning by picking one number are slim to none and slim just left town. You can bet on red/black. If you do that your chances of winning are something like .48 and the casino's chances are .52 since the house gets 0 and 00. The bottom line if you bet all your money once and walk away afterwards then your chances of winning are .48 but if you bet red/black 4 times then your chances of winning are .0530... The Casino starts with .52 odds but after you place 4 bets their odds of winning go up to .0731... If you do the math the casino has a 73% chance of taking all your money after 4 bets. The more you gamble your chances of winning approach 0% and the casino's chances of winning approach 100% Your best bet going to Vegas is to take your money to the roulette wheel and bet red/black once then walk away no matter what happens after your one bet. Sure there are other ways to gamble, but I guarantee the casinos have done a bunch of math on every way to blow money there.
  2. Rebel Yell is a great climb. Nice pictures.
  3. May 29th sure is a good day to celebrate! I was 11 years to late, but it still is a good day and Ed Hillary was a class act.
  4. Ya know a guy with a good motorcycle could really kick ass at the marathon competition.

    DIEBOLD

I don't want to argue about elections. All I have to say is thanks for posting the video Crux.
  6. It was sunny and warm heading up Mt. Snoqualmie yesterday. T-shirt weather. Fun breakable crust coming down.

    McNuggets

The dead goat in that show looked ready for the bbq. It seemed like the two live goats were happy with Kenny and Spenny.

    McNuggets

I think we're leaving out Pork McNuggets and Goat McNuggets
  9. That's the impression I had too.
  10. It's sad that it has to happen this way, but it is nice to see that more thought is going towards funding the avy center.
  11. It sounds like it was a cool plane.
  12. Lizard Brain is pushing his luck. I still have a bunch of text books. I could start quoting from A First Undergraduate Course In Abstract Algebra. That was a fun class.
  13. Huh? Pi is and always will be an irrational number. One of the more useful irrational numbers out there. Just try figuring out the area of a circle (with any degree of accuracy) without using Pi. You could say the same thing about the irrational number e. e = 2.71828183.......
  14. Well I don't know what she looks like, but you can learn something from the tattoo. Pi is an irrational number, so that may confirm what you already suspect. She could really confuse people if she wrote it in binary 11.00100100001111110110..... or hexadecimal 3.243F6A8885A308D31319........

    RAT

I'm afraid I'm going to have to agree with Wayne on this one. Sorry Porter. I Know What I Like Rat does rule though.

    New tax structure.

  17. ...and all this time I thought it was 1/2mv squared... I hope anybody that wants an equation as a tattoo pulls out a decent mathematics text book to double check their work. It's a lot easier to tattoo paper if you use a pencil and eraser as the tattoo marking tool.
  18. I've been to a few good parties with friends at the Sunset Bar. Normally I'd say Dantes on Thursday, but I'd make an exception due to special circumstances.
  19. Hey Pindude, When I was in Idaho it was Moscow ID in the mid 80s. All the tele folks were on the classic 3 pin bindings; they were all pretty good. I remember a number of good trips to Freezeout Ridge and down to NE Oregon to ski near Aneroid Lake.
  20. I didn't write it, but with 1000 post any modicum of serious debate had long since past. Folks needed a time out to reflect on what really mattered at that point which was post count. :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: :rocken: I like all the new Smilies.

  22. No that would be thanks to me. Btw. Thanks to you you've proved beyond a reasonable doubt that you're a whiny little bitch. That would be alright if you were female, but you don't appear to be a woman.
  23. Sorry. I thought Thursday night and part of the thread title was enough info. We had a good time.
  24. Exactly. It took a little push, but now things are on the correct track.
  25. As an former employer in work with lots of potential for injury tatoos are no big deal. Like OW said wearing rings and watches are a bad idea (avulsion).
