I have a pair of the champ pants--used quite a bit for two years. While definitely not waterproof they are quite water resistant and durable. I love them and plan on getting a new pair when they wear out.
An article in today's Oregonian talks about "The Year in Beer" and lauds Terminal Gravity's bottling of "perhaps the best IPA in the galaxy".
Congratulations on the continued success!

Oh yeah, you said around Portland. If we had snow--and thats a big if--the loop around Trillium is a fun outing for the family. Not in very good shape now though. I think given the current conditions, Timberline is your best bet.
You must have pretty thin facial hair. If I shave without warming up my face with hot water first it feels like I am scraping my face with a rusty steak knife.
Shit, shower & shave.
They have slim jims and will move your car for you if they need to plow--or just for the hell of it. They broke my girlfriends locks moving her car while we were out on an overnighter.
$5? That must be for a one-day pass. Why not just lay down the bones for a season pass? They are good in WA and OR.
The MT Hood Store in Parkdale sells them if you come down via Hood River.
I don't know why having a locker on one of those biners would make that set up any more bomber. Chaining two biners together risks them becoming unchained if they are twisted--the only way to prevent this is to have them both as lockers.
But the guy is aiding and its an acceptable risk to chain biners that way. Backcleaning is also an acceptable risk. Pretty clean fall if something went wrong.
