Huh? I've been shooting Nikon for a long time so I don't know much about the Canon cameras, but the D70 is definately a nice camera. I've had one for 2 years and it takes great pictures in any kind of environment. Weight is always an issue versus a point and shoot, but the control and flexability it provides is hard to beat. Nikon just introduced the D200 which looks to be a killer camera for the money but it's still pretty expensive.

There are some highend point and shoots that are around 2.5 I think, but they tend to be larger then most point and shoot. Mainly it has to do with the buffer in the camera, only when you step up to higher end cameras with large buffers do card speed really have an effect on write performance.

You would need something that shoots at least 3 frames per second, so it would need to be a digital SLR. Expect to be dropping a 1k or more for a camera body.

Freestyle snowshoeing is pretty rad... you guys are a bunch of haters. Just because you can't throw a switch triple sow cow dirty sanchez doesn't mean it sucks. On Evening Magazine the other night they had some thing on these guys in Denver who did freestyle walking/jibbing, it was a stupid piece, especially the part where they forgot to mention that Tim and myself et al invented it. Fuckers.

What a fitting tribute that the announcement of Oly becoming a admin has turned into a total sprayfest.

The eventual goal of all of this is to take away all of your civil liberties. After we take over Microsoft and control the computers you use we will control the minds of all literate people, then we will take over Wal Mart and Nascar and then be in complete control of everyone who is illiterate.

What do the admins do? They pay the big server bill. They try to make sure things work. They answer endless emails from people who have their caps lock down when they are trying to login. They deal with a lot of BS. Recently they spend a ton of time working on the a big upgrade to cc.com. Tim and I have been running this place for over 5 years now, and up until now we haven't found anyone that really had the technical ability or time or will to help us. When there are only two people and both are either busy or burnt out this place takes a backseat. Oly brings a lot to the table and has so far put together some pretty rad shit..... you just wait.

I challenge anybody to come forward who has tried to post there and not had their post approved... except for Dru. MattP doesn't approve post, Tim and I do. Most of the time I don't even look at the content of the message, again we are just trying to avoid spam and spray on the front of the site. If people are going to get so bent out of shape and not even bother to find out the real reason why things like this happen I suggest you get off the internet... STAT! BTW once we migrate to the new message board this "restriction" will be removed and everyone and their delicate little lives can find something else to bitch about... like monorail taxes.
